Relaxation and pleasure.

What do you ladies do to relax yourselves? When you are angry, or mad, or just stressed out, what do you do?

I personally like to go online, talk to a friend on aim. I also find that painting my nails calms me down when I am angry. x

Try smoking 3 cigarettes. That's my method, "sweetie."

Masturbation and/or sex are pretty effective methods of relaxation and stress relief.

Curling up with a good book and a mug of hot coco also works pretty well.

Ugh. I cope typically when I try and relax (reefer, cigs, sex) but the most appropriate of all these things is reading or writing in a quiet space. Maybe some good music in the background depending on the mood.

I know I'm not a girl, but I like to listen to or play heavy metal when I'm pissed or stressed. Fast tempos and heavy guitars help me release built up stress.

Jogging and going for long walks through the woods also help me clear my head.

If I have a frustrating call at work, it helps just to get up and take a five minute break, just walk around, get a bottle of orange juice, check my phone. Just have something to break up the routine, when I finally get my mala that'll be great because I find having something to play with and keeping my hands busy calms me down sometimes, knitting is pretty great for that too but I can't do that at work.

If I'm really really upset, a good cry (yeah, I'm a crybaby), a good movie/book, and some mint fudge ice cream cheers me up, or just something to sort of pamper myself, like a foot scrub or facial (at home, can't really afford to go get it done at a spa willy nilly).

Not serious, as much as I'd like to, to do so would make things worse. So, I do my best to just keep it to myself.

Yep, just keep all that rage bottled up until it explodes and you beat someone to death with a rusty crowbar.

Oddly enough, same things calm me down. I'm also a bit of a book nerd, so I pretty much live in my local library. The books calm me for some reason. So much to learn..

To relieve anger and stress is rather difficult for me. It seems I'm rather angry by nature.
Generally I do something like getting very drunk, or getting into fights, or smoke, or drive to the German Autobahn and drive as fast as my car will go...

Cooking is a pretty amazing stress reliever, last night I baked a chocolate cake purely for that reason, I didn't have a slice until this morning but I felt much better as soon as I was stirring the batter.

Beating up virtual animals and people on the computer works really well for me. Also, just spending time with my hubby tends to make the Anger Bees in my brain stop buzzing. ^_^

I'm an owner of the store, and manager, I don't have to worry about being fired... so much as losing customers. Being short-tempered doesn't help, having to deal with several asshole customers helps less, especially those who bitch about Cigarette prices and the like. I would have quit by now if I was working for a asshole boss.

Ah, gotcha. Either way, it's not good for business to bitch out customers...but some folks make it terribly tempting.

I go into my room, ignore people, and find an outlet. Sometimes I read, sometimes I listen to music, sometimes I paint, sometimes I draw, and sometimes I rant. I try not to take it out on the innocent pillows anymore, aggression is a great inspiration for a badass drawing too.

To counteract stress I go for a cigarette, but for general relaxation I like to go for a long walk or draw. Drawing always makes me happy.

I always found the fantasy far more satisfying than the actual act. Mostly because nothing bad ever comes of thinking about bludgeoning someone with a tin of beans.

Also, why is this thread in Whining?
