Hair dye

Yeah I know there's a hair thread somewhere here but I can't be arsed finding it.

I'm gonna go buy some hair dye tomorrow. I'm thinking BRIGHT electric/neon pink, but I'm open to suggestion, except for green or black. What colour should I go for?

Out of idle curiosity, why not green or black?

I just dyed my hair a little while ago, but the dye was worth less than I payed and it washed out a few weeks later. I've been thinking about redoing my hair - I wanted purple, I got navy, now it's green x.X - in a different colour as well (though I don't think Sherlock Holmes auditions will go over well with bloody brown streaks...).

I've done my hair several times over, so I know that you should stick with a colour you love and one that is better for your skin complexion. I can't dye my hair black because I am a pink beastie, but I can pull off darker colours.

Pink is too bright, though, in my opinion. Perhaps a nice electric blue? Orange also looks good in highlighter colour.

Green - makes your hair look mossy, like a sloth's fur, IMO.

Black - would make me look like I was trying to be an emo. >_> Plus black isn't really my colour for hair. I may prefer black clothes, but I love eccentric hair colours.

Orange also looks good in highlighter colour.

I'd say purple. Purple rocks because it's my favourite colour.

I have naturally black hair, but I bleached a few strands in the front so they looked like natural highlights a couple months ago. This morning, I dyed those highlights dark red...works for me. I've photoshopped a few pictures of me so I had red hair, and everyone told me it worked great with my skintone. Purple, I feel only works if you have pale skin, but that's just my opinion. Bright pink will probably look great regardless what color your skin is ^_~

I am really open to the suggestion of cooler colors. Blue would look great on you. Purple is also another, as I am really fond of this color:

I want that on my hair. You could also use that website as a guideline for hair coloring, and photos of other people with the same hair color.
