Greetings, Earthlings.
It is a pleasure to introduce myself to you. I go by many names. Anima, Boku, That Madwoman, Shmion, Zeph, and occasionally Anima.
The Anima species (Anima severem) is very endangered. There is only one in existence. The talents of this rare creature include various forms of the written and spoken word. The specimen is known to talk quite frequently, but she does not sing, as her voice falls within the auditory spectrum of a dying cat and a frog on helium.
She can be spotted by her unruly blonde plumage. It is believed this is not in fact the Anima's hair, but it is rather a creature in its own right. No matter what countermeasures are taken, this coiffure takes the natural form of a subspecies of hair thought to have gone extinct in the 1990s.
The Anima is mostly a docile creature, but the hair parasite is known for being hostile to domestication.
The Anima makes her nest in any manner of dark places. The territory of the Anima can be easily spotted, as she often asserts claim on her territory by marking it. Markings and leavings of the Anima often include origami paper strewn liberally across the floor, strange ornamental hangings on windows and doors, color-cycling luminant objects, and the use of thick, heavy curtains to block out the sunlight. The Anima is a purely nocturnal creature, becoming active at night and retiring to her nest at the rising of the sun. Because of her nocturnal nature, she has adapted pale skin and eyes that are highly susceptible to sunlight. She only emerges from the nest to forage for sustenance or, on occasion, migrate.

Don't worry about the questions if you don't feel like doing them.
I like you already.

Great intro.
My only issue is the "purely" nocturnal bit... considering you posted the intro around lunch time. Though, that contradiction made me laugh quite emphatically.
Also, that name makes me think of an enema O_O
And you listed it twice under your many names...
That bit aside... You are quite interesting. Welcome to the forums :]

It reminds me of "Anime".
Welcome to the batcave.

Anima means "soul", I thought it meant "lonely" for the longest time because of the Anima Sola, but no, Sola is "lonely".
Welcome!

Am I wrong at noticing that Anima is a member of 2 years with 4 posts?

I know. I listed it twice intentionally.
I have a very odd sense of humor.

Saya's got it. I had another account that only had 7 posts on it and I suddenly couldn't post on it anymore.
Then again I never did introduce myself on it. Tried to register a new one with this account's email address and I was told it was in use.
And the name "Anima" comes from quite a few things. Partly the "Soul" thing, partly Jungian psychology, and partly some video game stuff. The "Severem" part is pretty apocryphal. Even I can't remember where I got it from.

Aren't you one of those things that latches onto a host and injects parasitic larva that take control of the brain making the victim do unspeakable acts of sadistic violence and torture against their own species while slowly eating away at them to sustain your dreadful existence?

Also, questions.
1. What do you do? (Hobbies, job) I am a jobless, shiftless college student leeching off my parents. As for my hobbies...Net surfing, studying obscure history, useless trivia, occasionally writing.
2. Where are you from? The Deep South. Get me outta here.
3. Who is your favorite author? It's likely a tie between H.G. Wells and Poe. And maybe Nietzsche. I don't read much.
4. What are your favorite films? The 1960 movie version of The Time Machine, V for Vendetta,
5. What music do you want played at your wedding? I'm not getting married ever, but if I change my mind it'll probably be something silly. You know, like Chopin's classic funeral march.
6. At your funeral? This is an easy one. The Merry Go Round Broke Down.
7. This IS a gothic website, so... how do you want to die? Hopefully in one piece.
8. What kind of casket would you want? Screw caskets, I'm getting cremated.
9. What's your FAVORITE outfit? Tough one to decide. My wardrobe's kinda limited. But I do have this lovely black velvet sweater and skirt combo. I just need some decent shoes to go with it.
10. What's one thing you miss about being a little kid? Actually having good stuff to watch on TV. Cartoons from the 90s ruled.
11. What's your favorite band? ...Do I have to pick just one? It varies according to my mood. Usually it's the Cruxshadows.
12. What kind of education do you have? What is/was/will be your major? Going for my associate's in liberal arts. I'll get my law degree one of these days. D<
13. Why did you join? Why not?
14. If the first 13 questions didn't give it away. What is your gender? X. Female, that is.

North Carolina can be considered deep south depending on where she lives, trust me. Been visiting there my entire life. The mountains are VERY redneck.
Where in NC do you live? I have family in Transylvania county.

I live in Lincolnton.
There are exactly three types of establishment here.
Gas station, fast food joint, or church.
On Main street alone are eighteen fast food joints.
Oh, and we're (we as in Lincolnton) Republican.
I'm not loyal to either party. But I often find myself siding with libertarianism.
