Decent X-mas music?
I'm looking for some decent x-mas music, as the title says. Anything aside from your typical "classic" holiday tunes that have been done over 66 billion times. I've taken a liking to Bob Rivers' Twisted Christmas series, and also "Christmas Sucks" by Tom Waits and Peter Murphy, wherein Peter sings "a gothic death rock Christmas"! I want to find some good goth ones, heavy ones, and funny ones.

Funny ones- A Very Scary Solstice. I can't remember who it's by, I think it's the Dagon Tabernacle Choir. It's a load of classic Christmas songs re-written to be about the Cthulu/Lovecraft Mythos. It rocks.

It's not really gothic but it is power metal-esque. The only Christmas music that I will listen to is Trans-Siberian Orchestra. It is absolutely amazing.

Well for me it is Agnus Dei, Though the version that got me hooked was by Samuel Barber put to the tune of his earlier work adagio for strings (altered for choir of course). Most people have heard it before but most people don't actualy know what it is. It is considered one of the most difficult pieces of choir music for any choir to perform seeing as how it was originaly intended for orchestra, it is truely beautiful. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KkObnNQCMtM

Well, you don't want the 'typical "classic" holiday tunes that have been done over 66 billion times', however.
The Projekt Label has a nice collection of fairly original Christmas music by darkwave artists called Excelsis. I rather enjoy what I have and plan on ordering the full set.
I rather like Christmas, though mostly for what late 19th century astetics I can get out of it.
