Hello. I thoroughly disagree with you on musical tastes, but I like you. Just mind your spelling.

Hi and thanks. Everyone disagrees with my musical tastes. It's great fun. Sorry about the spelling. I try to write correctly, but I seem to have dyslexic fingers and uncooperative eyesight.

In any case I like you. You remind me of our dear Disorder, because of geographical location, quirkiness of your bio, and the cute dinosaur in your picture.

I'm terrible with slang in any culture, including my own... What's "bludging"?

I'm from Sydney, Australia as well.

'Bludging' is generally being lazy and skipping out of doing work. People who are on unemployment pensions and aren't trying to find work are often called 'Dole Bludgers'. The other way that it can be used is if something is easy to do you could say that it is a 'bludge'.

I meant the second context of bludge. I'm a student, but as the uni year hasn't started yet it's a very easy life at the moment.

It is a typo of 'Mills and Boon' which are those trashy bodice-ripper romance novels that 80 year old women read and refer to as 'my stories'.

Hee-hee... Harlequin novels! My grandma used to say that (without the "deary"). That usually means it got to one of the "juicy parts".

Shut up, I love trashy romance novels. They're my guilty pleasure when I'm feeling down.

I's a fan of Mills and Boon cover art. Ken and Barbie of various hair-colouring and knitted pullovers...

Sometimes I actually go out and buy the books, but I usually just amuse myself by going to the store and reading the back covers.

For instance:

Quote:
Oh, yes . . .

Mark O'Grady has a bad habit of making love to a woman -- and then proposing. But sexual chemistry is never enough to get him down the aisle. So Mark puts an ad in Texas Men magazine, determined to take it nice and slow with the next woman -- make friends before getting too "friendly."

Oh, no!

Charlene -- Charlie -- McPherson is sick of being every guy's buddy. One look at Mark's picture and she's out to inspire uncontrollable lust in him. Unfortunately it works -- before she discovers his reputation as a "serial groom." Now Charlie has to find a way to say, "I don't" to his luscious lovemaking -- long enough for Mark to fall in love with her . . .and say, "I do."
(Taken from Every Woman's Fantasy by Vicki Lewis Thompson)

Yep, those are the books I'm talking about. There also the ones a friend tries to unload onto people whenever they claim to have nothing to read. She gave me about four at once. They're really quite informative, how else are you going to learn the valuable life skill of having sex while riding a horse?

Dude, if you don't like them, mail them to me!!!

I could use more life skills like that.

Or else I could just use the laughs...

Take your pick.
