Gas Prices Are Falling! :D
My apologies if this has already been posted, but I think it's good news for us all:
Gasoline prices are falling fast and could keep dropping for months.
"The only place they have to go is down," says Fred Rozell, gasoline analyst at the Oil Price Information Service (OPIS). "We'll be closer to $2 than $3 come Thanksgiving."
Travel organization AAA foresees prices 10 cents a gallon lower by the end of next week. It reported a nationwide average of $2.84 Tuesday, the lowest since April 20.

Amen to that! I'm all about electric vehicles being used. They are better for the environment, and probably would be easier on the wallet. [Unless the electric companies started to get -really- greedy all of a sudden.]

The media have a lot to answer for, and the banks, companies just do what they always have done. I.E. Make as much profit as possible.

They jacked up the price of bus rides here because of high gas prices. Will they lower it now?
I'm guess no.
Its like when our dollar was strong they wouldn't lower book prices to the American price.

I'd still ride the bus though, instead of paying 3$ a gallon for gas.

Probably not, because people'll still ride the buses, just complain more. If there was a noticeable shift downwards in demand, then yeah, it would. But I very much doubt there will be.

In a lot of places, the buses don't run on petrol, so they don't have to raise the prices. (in places as such, they run on CNG which I believe is compressed natural gas and, hence, not petrol.0

This is very good news. Especially if you live in an area where public transportation is lacking (or non-existent).

Makes me mad though, they jacked up the price specifically because gas was expensive, now that its getting cheaper we don't see the price reduced.
I can't drive anyway, I don't even have my permit. I'm terrified of driving >.<

It's $2.99 in my town, but I fully expect it to rise right back up around the Thanksgiving week/weekend, despite what everyone thinks.

Yep Wisconsin gets the cheap gas alot of the time, we're always on the low end of the range of prices. Apparently the lowest gas price here is $2.79 currently while the highest is $3.19.

We have 0.95 or 1.00 $CD gas per litre here, so that would be about 4.25$US per gallon.
I don't drive, even though I'm 21.

Since the prices got down, the goverment only reduced the prices by 5%
And when the prices of gas are up, so is everything else.
So we're still pretty much on the old prices (in everything).
The goverment is taking all the profits.
