I'm sharing an amusing conversation, because I can...breif setup for this: a friend of mine (Jordan) and I (jrockkitten) were talking about how I was taking my intense urge to break, puncture, and otherwise maim out on a peice of celery rather than myself....this is what resulted

Jordan: And, I don't like celery anyways, so cut that fucker up!
jrockkitten: hehe, I actually rather like it, but I'm being slow, meticulous, and rather malicious in my methods of consumption at the moment
Jordan: Heh heh
Jordan: Good...eat it like it owes you money
jrockkitten:...I'm not sure why but I've suddenly obtained an astounding amount of affection for the phrase, "slow, meticulous, and rather malicious in my methods" and like it even better as "slow, meticulous, and particularly malicious in my methods"
Jordan: Ha ha, most people wouldn't even recognize the difference
Jordan: Particular= You're just being choosy
Jordan: Rather= You know exactly how deliberate this action is
jrockkitten: which is why, on occasion, I've been known to love my own knowledge of the English language and -gasp- feel a touch superior
Jordan: But you are superior
jrockkitten: I'd really like to know why the first that popped into my head after you typed that was "Yep, just like the lake, I'm rather large and oddly shaped!"...

What about being three times wider than you are tall?

Lake Michigan looks the most penis-y, which is awesome, because people in both lower Michigan as well as Wisconsin see their states as resembling hands.... woo! I'm goin' on a date with Miss Michigan and Miss Wisconsin! Don't wait up...

Sunday night insomnia! Woot!

I just spent the whole day writing papers. I'm very giddy now that I'm free.

I just opened a new container of Cosmic Catnip. The cats all responded in the usual manner:

Shug- "Drugs are bad, right? This is scary. I'll try a tiny bit and run away. Oh God, why did I do that? Why? Must go hide in the basement."

Charlotte- "I will snort/eat/ mainline as much as possible, and then dance in my own personal moshpit. I am beautiful! FTW!"

Randy- (the Thelonious Monk of the crew) "Yeah baby, what you got there? Huh; not the quality I'm used to, but I'll take what I can get. I'll blow some changes later, if I feel like it."

*Note to self- photoshop picture of Randy with beret and shades ASAP.

All are currently snoozing/ on the nod.

I am the Catnip Enabler.

With tangerine trees and marmalade skies
Somebody calls you, you answer quite slowly,
A girl with kaleidoscope eyes.
Cellophane flowers of yellow and green,
Towering over your head.
Look for the girl with the sun in her eyes,
And she’s gone.
Lucy in the sky with diamonds.
Follow her down to a bridge by a fountain
Where rocking horse people eat marshmellow pies,
Everyone smiles as you drift past the flowers,
That grow so incredibly high.
Newspaper taxis appear on the shore,
Waiting to take you away.
Climb in the back with your head in the clouds,
And you’re gone.
Lucy in the sky with diamonds,
Picture yourself on a train in a station,
With plasticine porters with looking glass ties,
Suddenly someone is there at the turnstyle,
The girl with the kaleidoscope eyes.

I just got done watching the Boondocks christmas episode.. I'm still laughing.

Letter to Santa from Riley who is pissed about not getting rims the christmas previous:

"Dear Santa,
You are a bitch nigga--no wait... (erases the line)

Dear Santa,
You are a bitch ass nigga. I heard the mall is hiring extra Security to protect you. That's a bitch move, Santa. I'm coming for that ass again untill YOU PAY what you OWE!

Sincurly Yours,
The Santa Stalker "

How harsh can a pissed off child be?

My understanding is that catnip (a member of the mint family) is a perennial herb that contains the chemical nepetalactone. Cats that are sensitive to this chemical will respond to it by rolling, purring, and gamboling/frolicking. Current studies suggest that catnip reaction is inherited, which is probably why your cats are indifferent to it.

Although cats who are under the influence of the 'nip might seem out of control, the effects (fortunately) only last for a few minutes. My guys are always happy to go back for more, though.

Some people drink catnip tea as a mild sedative.

My cat loves catnip.

He normally sits there purring and licking it. Then he shakes his head and drool flies everywhere.

Xng, You were interested in the details of my trip. I know someone else was interested, but I can't remember who that was ... rockandrose? darkangel? maybe?

Anyway, I posted it all in the Trip to Tenerife thread in general. Maybe during a boring class on Monday or Tuesday, it'll give you something different to do.

I quit once, about a year and a half before I became pregnant with my daughter. I started smoking again a couple months ago.

I seriously need to quit. This is my last carton.
