I love thunderstorms, my mom worries that I'll get struck by lightning because whenever we get a good storm I run outside and dance in the rain

As long as you have rubber soles on your shoes, you'll more than likely be okay if you get struck...at least that is the way I understand it.

Either way I am from a shithole city in Pennsylvania.

I run around naked when I can but if my parents are home they will forcibly drag me in the house, so if I want to stay out I have to keep something on

I'm at school in South Dakota. (for those of you who don't have a clue where I'm talking about, it's in the middle between North Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, Montana and Wyoming. There isn't much here, so don't feel bad. You aren't missing much)

I live in Maine, roughly 30 miles South of where I was born. (Portland.)

I figure a dozen or so more lives and I'll make it to New York.

hmm running around naked! Sounds like fun to me. Actually I HAD to do it in my house all day Friday and Saturday & part of Sunday until the repair man could come and fix my air conditioner. I had to put on my jeans and a T-shirt before he came over! As soon as he left I stripped again! It took the rest of the day Sunday for my house to cool off good!

My boyfriend online was thrilled to know that I was naked all day those two days! lol Sadly so far we haven't been able to meet yet. He lives in Canada and I live here! So he had to just imagine what I looked like naked! hehehe

As for where I live. Well I live in a small community in Arkanasas called Sardis. It is 30 minutes right outside of Little Rock. Sardis isn't even big enough to be a town. It is geographicly big, but very spread out, and nothing that resembles a town! Saying community I do NOT mean some Aumish thing! lol I just mean that Sardis is in the country.

I actually live in the woods, in a 3 bedroom 2 bath mobil home. I is just me and my cat Percy. She is a femaile. Whoever had her when she was young didn't know she was femaile I guess. lol

Anyone else from Arkansaas, or close by?

*blush* I do.

I'm from Ohio.

What do we have?

Well, the largest Oktoberfest (which is in August) festival beside the big un' in Munich Germany, and a festival celebrating a mixture of oatmeal and sausages which I'll not even try to spell.

I don't really give a sod about that, though. I'm a part of the second largest 'My family's originally from' group (German is the largest, as you may have guessed).

Unfortunatly, all I get is St. Patrick's day.

Well, that and Ren. Fest. We have a great Ren. Fest.

I'm from Houston, the space city. Well-la-dee-freaking-dah!!
It's okay. There's lots of good places to buy clothing. Alot of cafes to sit and have a coffee break while staring at the book-worm next to you. What else? A good fine arts museum and independent movie theaters.

The three hour drive to Magnolia is worth going to the Ren Fest.

Numbers is the local goth club. I love their 80s night. But I don't go there too often. All the pretty gothy people make me feel like a weed in a field of flowers.

My favorite part of town is Montrose. It has the Magick Cauldron, where I go to satisfy some of my new age and jewelry needs.

I don't mind the people except for the annoying ghetto ones, which is more than half the city. I hate the way that they talk, makes me feel crazy!! It's like GOOD LORD! At least try to act like you have some class and not be such a dumb fuck! Try not to be a rude ass-wipe!!

Well, there are more things I should include but my mind is blank and I should get off my ass and go to bed. My room has been filled with the aroma of incense all day, and it has gone to my head. Good Night sick sad world.

Re: Represent!

Montrose & Numbers both sound like cutty [S.F./Berkeley slang for "cool"] places. I've been thinking of visiting Houston later on this year. In October. For 4 days. Also, I've been wondering if there were any Gothic/Rivethead-friendly spots in Houston. So your post answered that question for me. Here's another, Dreamydancer: Do you know of any hostels in Houston?

Numbers recently got rid of the regular Goth/Industrial night in favor of a Salsa night, according to rumor. It wasn't really all that practical considering it was on Thurs. Who the hell goes out on a Thursday night? Most of us are busy working.

So, yeah, all we've got now is the 80s or 'Classic' night. I have no idea if there are hostels in the area, but we've got hotels and motels aplenty.

We've also got a Museum of Natural Science, a Zoo and the Johnson Space Center. I wouldn't know about shopping in the Montrose area, personally. I've heard that it's become quite chic to shop the thrift stores there and the prices have become comparable to going to a regular clothing store. If I'm gonna pay a high price for something, it damned well better be new!

It's true the prices have become silly, like at the Buffalo Exchange. It's still better than shopping at most places in my opinion. I got alot of my lace and velvet blouces for under ten bucks each. They still look nice and fit perfectly.

You can still find good bargains that are half the price then they would be at regular stores. Liquid and Erotic Cabaret are okay too.(not thrift stores) I like their boots and corsets.

Yeah, I rarely went to #'s on a Thursday. I was always busy studying for some Chemisty or Biology test. Isn't there an Underworld party this coming Saturday?

Now #'s usually has some crap like Too Fast Thursdays.

I live very close to Cincinnati, Ohio. I believe the oatmeal/sausage mixture Panther was referring to is called goetta. The cafe where I worked weekends for three weeks served it during breakfast. I've never had it since I'd never even heard of it before I went vegetarian. Sigh...I'm not even vegetarian anymore since I eat fish, but no way am I eating sausage. Not happening.
