Before, After, and a Hair Gel Question . . .
Okay, so I got my hair cut today. And I once again grew sick of my natural hair color, which is a golden brown, and dyed my hair black. I love the cut and color, myself.
Before the cut/color: img444.imageshack.us/img444/4122/oldhairef6.jpg
After the cut/color: img249.imageshack.us/img249/6007/newhairei7.jpg
(Since I'm a new member I can't post a link so just copy/paste those into your browser.
Thoughts?
Regardless, my main issue is this: I used to use a gel that I can't seem to find anywhere anymore. Probably because I don't even know what it's called! Haha, but anyways, I need recommendations for a new hair gel. As you can see I don't have a lot of hair to hold in place so it needn't be super-strong glue/cement-like, I just need something that will give me a spikier sort of look an texture. (Just spikier and messy, not actual spikes.)
Any recommendations?

I use Tresemmé hair gel. I only use it on my sideburns, though, but it's pretty good.

First of all...
Put on a fucking shirt please.
But If you just want a normal hair gel: Bed Head is a good brand. And Garnier Fructis, but I don't like the smell of their gels even though they have a very nice line of them.
My favorite gels are ones with the wet effect/look and Garnier has that too.

Amazing. Only on Gnet can a thread about hair redirect to abs and baby seals. Le sigh.
But, back on the subject of hair, Zane, if you're hair gets poofy use this creme thingy from Frizzease: Windown. It does wonders for poofy hair. I should know. *shifty eyes*

I use L.A. Looks. It's cheap and it does what I need it to. You can find it at Wal-Mart.
And raine, maybe Zane'll put a shirt on when you learn the difference between "your" and "you're".

I think if you roughed it up with a wax or texturing paste it would look awesome. got2b is relatively cheap and works well if you can splurge i suggest useing a brand called matrix.

Hey, dude, relax. It was a typo. And I knew the difference since I was in preschool so will he be putting a shirt on in the past?
That makes no sense. :P

I'll relax if you do. I was being playfully snarky. No worries.

Don't worry about it. Pictures are deceiving. If it's any consolation, I could tell you're a girl.

oh, good. Meh, my bad. I was a bit overstressed when I wrote that.
And Zane, I could tell you're a girl too. Main reason that I insisted you put on a shirt. Have shame, boy. I mean young lady. ;D

Haha, thanks for being able to tell I'm female, folks. I went to Wallgreens to browse their gels and was actually able to spot what I used to use: http://img257.imageshack.us/img257/79/hairgelew5.jpg
I couldn't find it because they change the packaging so often. I love this stuff, though, I recommend it to anyone. It works great and it smells even better.
With the gel in. You can't really see the hair very well, but I guess I wanted to prove that I can take a non-hideous picture of myself. (Plus I can finally post links now so I'm a bit link happy!)

I think the gel that you bought really did fit in with your new 'cut. Your hair looks very, very nice.
