viscus is back

That's right, after drifting away for several months I'm back. Not sure why I'm back, and I don't know if many people will care anyway.

Anyway, as for a reintroduction: I am in my late 20's, and I live in Japan. I work as an English instructor, as many westerners do here. I've changed my address twice in the last six months, and have been feeling rather like a football: kicked around a bunch.

I'm into trains, the internet, gadgets, progressive politics, and alcohol. I am an atheist and a secular humanist.

I haven't been into the Gothic club scene or fashion for a while, but I still enjoy 80's Goth Rock and Deathrock, as well as other kinds of music. Recently I've been listening to the Magnetic Fields quite a bit. I get a kick out of eccentric artists such as Scott Walker.

I don't watch many films, but I enjoy the work of David Lynch. Neil Gaiman is definitely my favorite writer.

That's about all I have to say about myself. You'll probably find me around the news and politics forums, making fun of idiots.

I know what you mean, and I also think that you're one of the cooler people around here.

Hey! I should have read this earlier..

Welcome to Gnet. I've done exactly the same thing [except in China], so yeah, I know the "football" feeling.

Thank goodness I don't have to bow. I've got a bad back.

Don't they get money every time you click on a banner ad?

It could work that way but most likely they pay Gnet for a period of time or number of views. The center bought an ad on a news site and we had to pay by the number of views, so every time someone went to the site and the ad was there, that got counted as our X number of views, whether or not they clicked.

Hey, Viscus, welcome back. I am glad you weren't permanently banninated, as I quite enjoy your particular style of idiot-wrangling.
