Goths are vermin!

I was looking for a particular got shop in Ashington but couldn't think of it's name so I typed Goth then Ashington into Yell.com and look what came up!

haha

its not misspelled, it says "goth" in the title bar =o).

And naah, she's not being offensive. She just told us what she saw. Thats like saying "100 American soldiers died in Iraq today" is offensive ^_^.

Thank you Unimatrix 00.

I didn't mean to offend anyone. I'm utterly Goth and have been since I was about 6 yet I don't take myself too seriously -I found this very funny so thought i'd share!

I imagined hearing a knock on my door then answering to find a couple of people there in protective gear carrying white paint, crucifixes etc coming to rid the street of the goth pest!

Sorry you were offended Shade- in the title I was merely echoing the search results not making a statement.

Personally I saw nothing offensive about your thread Ms.Moth. Besides, vermin can be quite cute

My imaginings were more along the lines of Hillsong recruiters turning up on my front doorstep and trying to convert me lol

I didn't see offensive intention in that post, just a funny mistake xD

I almost can see the "goth-control" trying to convert me as Nexus said lol

I knew, That's why I told her. -_-

It was like paste the joke "How did Buddha die?" in the Buddhist temple
The joke was funny but it's not really proper. Even that the one who pated it mean no offend.

I mean that I would rather use "Weird Searching" or "Is this normal"

Err.... just forget it >w<

Ms Moth,

Try this link instead ...

But I`m still curious how the word `Goth` has been linked to vermin on a database, unless someone thought it amusing to do so (when programming it, or its a weird glitch), there has to be an explanation for this, any ideas ?

Wink

This is too funny. I love the ads for the 'discreet humane services' and the 'unwanted visitor control.' Wish they had those for bill collectors and tax agents, too. That would be good. (I could almost 'see' it. You get a knock at the door. It's one of those pesky bill collectors and you whip out the cell, and call the local 'pest' control. They turn up in a 'pestbusters' mobile, whip out the double-barreled 'Raid' and bingo!! no more bill collectors. End of story). Life is good.

That reminds me of one of my mom's friend's friends who traps groundhogs and "teaches them to swim" in the pond in her backyard. Oooooh if I'd been there when she said that... and if I had the ovaries to say anything.... I think that if one can't say in plain, uneuphemised terms what one is doing, then one shouldn't do it.
[/rant]

lol, I've sure been made to feel like a pest before. I guess it's only a matter of time before the exterminators come and get me. :P

As for pest control I'm sure we all have. Maybe it's time to break out the armor and gas mask. That would go over if I answered the door like that. Hmmmm. Wonder if I could get by with wearing that to work. Nahh. Wouldn't get past the 'dress code' police.
