I'm a lecturer in english and communication at a uk university, mostly specialising in comics, gothic lit (of course!), fantasy lit, kids lit and sf

bristol UK, but now i live in bournemouth - creepy seaside town with LOTS of goth credentials (if you know your shelley)

currently might have to be joe hill. all kinds of awesome. also china mieville, robert pirsig,

concrete nosedive off the 'giant' pirate statue outside blackgang chine (a retro/budget amusement park on the isle of wight)

ah, i don't care about that. empty me into a bucket and have done with it.

currently rocking the cyberdog pinstripes. but basically anything that goes with the 40 pairs of shoes i can't seem to stop adding to

hmmm. probably nine inch nails, always and forever.
12. What kind of education do you have? What is/was/will be your major?
got a degree in english lit, a masters in creative writing and a phd in eng lit (comics and gothic theory)
13. Why did you join?
i'm doing a project on how people read online, and the use they make of forums like this to discuss lit (link posted in the 'shill' section). i'm not a great user of forums, but i've enjoyed looking through this one - lots of useful links, and i learnt something new about lovecraft yesterday. in my world, that's a win.
