Xng, honestly no one labels you as "goth" here. Punks, goths, and metalheads are all categorized as "disturbed kids". Just because we wear black people look at us in a different manner, I cannot change that. I really didn't mean to prove to them that their stereotypical judgements toward us were true, I juist thopugh it would be fun. I guess I look at it now in another perspective.
P.S I'm pretty sure people knew we were kidding when they heard us laughing as soon as they passed.

Plus she lives in Lebanon, and I would imagine that being "Goth" in the Middle East isn't something most people see everyday over there. I can only imagine the reaction "Goths" get, and I bet they take a lot of shit about their appearance.
Thanks E_P_S for understanding! It's really different in Lebanon. I mena what am I supposed to do when I see two women talking about me right in front of me and looking at me in disgust. I can't just shut up and lower my head. I think it was some sort of teen rebellion or something. Well I'm sorry if I caused a bad name to all the goths out there.
There you go. *hands down the rest of her goth cards*

I totally get your point, Xng. Of course, I'm not going to think that you don't like me, and I certainly won't like you any less for stating your opinion! *hugs*

I think you should stay out of this unless she asks for your help.

This sounds like a highly complicated situation, which should ring self-preservation alarm bells in your head. Plus it's a very personal situation, so she may not appreciate you trying to do anything for her.

Unless she is a close friend and not just a work colleague.

That is just my humble opinion.

It's scary seeing someone your age pregnant and in trouble. However, it seems that despite the situation, she's determined to have the child no matter what. Which means there is very little that will keep her from doing so, even well intentioned and rational advice from someone who cares. Because it's very likely she thinks the same thing every now and then, if not all the time.

Best you can do is let her rant about it, and help her out as best you can afterward, especially since it doesn't seem like you're very close to her.

It should say when you get the external hard drive. You can get like 500 meag's out of them. Some of them have usb cords that you can hook up. Then when you save somthing change the path to your new hard drive. You can also retrive indo out of an old hard drive as long as it hasen't been defraged.

Fuck. I'm pissed.
I wonder if your new hard drives aren't being formatted properly to work with the BIOS you have on your motherboard. That'd account for those critical failures, which by rights shouldn't be happening. Who do you have installing them?

University IT is a crap shoot, really, but is often a good source of assistance. If they aren't fixing the underlying issue, though, then I'd recommend calling a toll-free tech assistance line or something. Is this computer of yours still under warranty, by any chance?

I saw an episode of House last night that was kind of like this, where the sick woman's liver was dead and they needed to give her a new one so they could buy an extra day or so and figure out what was really going on. Make sure your folk figure out the real reason, is all, and not just sell you more parts. That's like a mechanic selling you brake pad after brake pad without telling you that the higher-than-normal wear is due to misaligned rotors.

So they issued it to you, and then charged you to replace their faulty tech? I call shenanigans.

Wait, I may have just assumed they charged you. It's my "Damn the Man!!" genes acting up.

The other day, I was walking throughout Wal-Mart (a.k.a. the downfall of humanity). I was searching for a Misfits album, I believe. I walked past this child who look to be no more than ten who looked directly at me and remarked "Hey, someone like me!" I was wearing my favorite outift; the courduroy blazer with the "Did you hear that? It's the sound of no one caring." tee underneath, along with a pair of black jeans and eye pencil. So you can see why I became uneasy.

heh. Try working at Wal-Mart. There's some fun shit.

LIke now. I'm on vacation, visitng my parents, proving that I still love my siblings and stuff (failing at that one, sadly, but another rant for another time). I asked for this time off a month ago, and was told that it had been approved, which made me happy, because I really need the time off work (I'm not conditioned for a pure labor job, sadly).

I found literally teh day I was leaving that my time as, in fact, not approved. So I had to go to the store managers and plead to be allowed to come back to Ohio without being fired. I all but got down on my knees and begged.

Luckily, I can still keep my job, since I would have quit instead of breaking my promise to visit again, but still, the irritation is there. I just feel like my manager's a piece of shit for lying to me, even though it's possible ti wasn't her fault. She might have been on pain pills to help with the chemo treatments, and could have had no idea what I was asking (she's admitted to coming in on perscription morphine before).

Oh dear. A project. I used to be like that when I was younger but I've become far to selfish in my old age to be a bleeding heart anymore. I am a little ashamed of it, as well, because I used to dislike people who kept themselves to themselves and didn't put any effort into being nice. and I still respect people who go out of their way to make other people feel good.

It sounds like you might get hurt here darkangel, if you try and get involved. But If you do really want to help, just let her know that you're there for her.

Well, as long as that's the case let em fuck around with it. Despite the loss of personal settings, you can at least hope you're screwing with the adminstration's bottom line.

In news which is probably going to actually help you, if this computer has a spare USB port (your mouse likely plugs into one, so you can use that if it's the only one, but 2 is better) you can buy a flash memory stick which is very easily capable of holding a shit-ton of text documents, and have that as your portable hard drive for under $20.

I use one of those and it's a life saver. They can even attach to your key ring, which is great because you can take pictures everywhere with you, for one good use as well.

I hate my Job!

Hole shit! Do I wish that I still worked at Wendys. At least I could quit. I can't in my present job. I have to work for three people that get to boss me around all day. That shit is fun. Yell at me for policies that haven't been briefed to me yet, and threaten and sometimes act on hurting me physically. I am not even really alowed to argue or give up any fight. If I were I would get in trouble. Fuck I hate them. I work for the most unitelagent pieces of shit. Their idea of a good time is seeing how drunk they can get, and seeing how tuff their are. "I beat up three guys this weekend!" Fucking stupid. They coulden't read if some put a gun to their head. I can't stand it.

Sorry about the spelling and punctuation.

I was just thinking - "Non-System Disk error" refers to when there aren't certain files on the disk it's checking to start the computer, as I understand it - things like autoexec.bat, config.sys, and such. Anyway, if they're putting new hard drives in your machine but not formatting them to be system hard drives, that might be your problem. Maybe try asking about that.

My stepdad is a big fucking idiot. He has a bunch of teenagers over and they are drinking. They drive, drunk, to the liquior store to buy more and they hit a woman. Luckily she was ok. My stepdad, who was with them, gets out of the car and runs. The woman whom they hit is able to give a pretty good description of him. Could you be any more stupid Leo?
