Music Finally, an entire forum devoted to talking about Doktor Avalanche, the drum machine for the Sisters of Mercy. You can talk about other bands, or other members of that band, too, if you want to be UNCOOL. |

is one, I'm not really proficient with music via internet, but a buddy of mine in Arizona introduced me to these guys, he showed me their Japan tour, and all I can say is WOW. They combine almost every musical style from the last seventy years, in metal. The songs are really long though, and the lyrics are awesome.
Be patient through the intros though. They start out simple, and long.

I used to LOVE them, their old albums were awesome. My favorite songs are: Through her eyes, finally free, Hollow years and the spirit carries on. Unfortunately, their recent album was AWFUL! The songs were TOO long and the music was terrible! The only song I could stand was " The Answer Lies Within".

I don't really like them too. I never did actually love them, but I used to kind of listen to them before.

By the way, I heard that Dream Theater broke up, and that they formed a new band (I can't recall its name right now) but without vocals...

My husband was in a band in Houston(a long, long time ago) that did gigs with Dream Theater before they were famous. He's played alongside a lot of bands and Dream Theater tops his list of good bands. That's saying something coming from a musician.
Personally, I like them. I'm not a devout follower or anything. Not like with Queen or TON. But I enjoy their style. And I also like Queensryche.

<3`s Wolfie,
I love Dream Theater, especially their earlier stuff.
Queenryche rule, my favourite album of theirs is `Operation Mindcrime`, I love the story telling, it has to be one of the best concept albums ever, next to Dream theaters `Metropolis: Scenes from a Memory` and the Rush classic `2112`.
My favourite Dream Theater album is `Images and Words`.

I love Dream Theater! Mike Portnoy is a fucking legend!
My favourite album by them is Scenes From A Memory.
Apparently, they have broken up but they have a side project thing called Liquid Tension Experiment, which is equally excellent.
Tis awesomeness
