I could be wrong, but I don't think so... Note the last line of Demon Eyes' post. Kinda leads me to believe this is not his/her work. So... compliments, schmompliments, or something.

Please state clearly whether the pictures you post are made by someone else, and if so - who, to avoid confusion.

Of course, if it is your original work, then good job D.E. You're probably a professional illustrator already.

And, Catch - I think you're reading a bit too much into your own pictures... The one of the syrup bottle is nice, as a quaint foreign (for me) object. Not sure if it's anything more than that, though. I guess you had to be there, eh?

Heh, true dat. Your pictures, on the other hand, makes me really want to see real thing. Even for camera-phone, they are very evocative. And kind of trippy, which I of course like.

Well It's not a typical Camera Phone, so we're clear.

The Treo is basically a Peripheral Device that can run Applications like your PC.

Manimal's job necessitates that he be able to access the Web anywhere, anytime. He also receives his emails on it from Work, 24/7.

It's pretty damn nifty when you can stand on top of a Mountain, and pull up Google.

The cell/camera option are just something additional the manufacturer included in this very Spendy little Mini-PC Toy his Boss got him.

My Cell also has a camera in it, but the Resolution is so crappy it looks like you took the pictures with an Etch a Sketch. Seriously..

*Hee*

All of the Individual Pics we have posted in the Pic Post of Manimal, The Hellspawns and myself were also taken with the Treo.

Obviously I am going to get a bit better Res with a good 35mm or Digital, but the Treo does a nice job nonetheless. I cannot WAIT til we get the Real Deal though.

I really do miss my Camera and Uber Lens.

And so as not to completely Thread Jack;

Whoops, I greatly apologize for the confusion, but you would be correct pitseleh. These are done by one of my favorite artists that has greatly influenced my drawings Ayami Kojima. Though I can't compare to her yet, my style is closely similar minus the coloring which she used watercolor and acrylic for the first two. The best I can do as of far is draw with a simple carbon pencil to create my works, so most of my drawings are in black and white so to speak. Again, I'm sorry for the confusion.

ok i kind of feel silly, as I was not anticipating people posting images that are not their own, even tho I've seen it done earlier in this same thread, of artists that I did recognize. (the little emo androgynous boy on the swing, for example, by a rather well known artist). I wasn't thinking about that and just assumed those were Demon Eyes' work. I know other artists whose work is just as good, even better, and they aren't professionals either, by any means. But at the same time, I don't think s/he was deliberately trying to deceive, again, based on that last statement that pitseleh pointed out. At any rate, thanks for the clarification, Demon Eyes. Hopefully you can post some of your own stuff sometime soon

As for catch's description of her photos, I know these are things that are discussed in art theory. Lines and planes and depth of perception, all of that, combining to bring the image together, and sometimes to redirect the eye back towards the intended focal point of the object. As with her latest image, there's a whole lot of color and direction going on. Things that stand out more when not looking directly at the image. I wonder, with the sugar syrup bottle, did you deliberately face the label out?

Anyway, here's another of my offerings, again from a couple years back. I'm testing the waters on flesh around here, as most of my work is nude, or at least very revealing. I don't want to offend anybody. The most time-consuming part of this was the tattoo, which I lifted off a photo of my own back, and repositioned, sized, etc, on the shoulders of 'mister digital.' And I rarely ever add wording to images, unless they fit the concept.

Thank you, EPS and Sanctus. Those are nice words to hear.

I want to go driving tomorrow, and take the camera with me. So many places I've seen just while working today that I'd like to photo. but I think it's suppose to rain.

There are some amazing artists here! Unfortunately, art has never been one of my strong suits. I can take some mean pictures though.

Here's one. Not a very good one, but my favorite anyway. Hasn't been photoshopped or anything so sorry if it looks unprofessional.

I call it Hope. The sky was black as black could get and yet there was this little patch of blue sky.

Also, here's a picture of a Dali Elephant that my bf wants to get tattoed on his arm. It's still in it's rough form but it will give you an idea. He loves elephants!

He's planning to keep the red in the background but maybe make it circular....or something.

It did`nt stop a film production company making this film...

Slugs, muerte viscosa (1988)

People are dying mysteriously and gruesomely, and nobody has a clue what the cause is. Only health worker Mike Brady has a possible solution, but his theory of killer slugs is laughed at by the authorities. Only when the body count begins to rise and a slug expert from England begins snooping around does it begin to look like Mike had the right idea after all. IMDB

To see a clip from the film... www.badmovies.org

Wow, that is really Powerful..

I relate with the Symbolism in that shot tremendously..

Sometimes thats all there is when The Nothing rolls in...

Just a little patch of Blue somewhere, gleaming through; telling you to hang on..

Beautiful nonetheless.. Please share more sometime soon. We can compare notes.

Ah. Well I don't have any art to post at the moment. But I do have an art-related query.
I was asked by my art teacher for a work of art to be put into a local gallery, and the theme is "a new beginning".
It is a great honour, apparently, for usually only the seniors are asked for artwork.
Anyway, I am completley at loss for ideas. I was just wondering if any of you delightful people could help me out here.
