Music Finally, an entire forum devoted to talking about Doktor Avalanche, the drum machine for the Sisters of Mercy. You can talk about other bands, or other members of that band, too, if you want to be UNCOOL. |

I hate that "Drift Away" song. You know it, "gimme the beat boys and free my etc etc." I hate it so much.
The lyrics are just stupid, and the music doesn't fit them at all.

Pop music sucks ass! Pop culture sucks ass!
Some chick was on the radio singing about wishing she was a Punk rocker with flowers in her hair...is she maso?!? Where i come from if a Punk tried that, they'd be slaughtered by the skankers!

Not all Pop music sucks, ie. Regina Spektor.
I think the worse song ever written would be anything by Cannibal Corpse, stupid lyrics and boring song structures... for twenty years.

Maybe because I've listened a lot of Death Metal bands of much higher quality...
But is that their only purpose? Because most crappy music serves that purpose well.

I'd have to say Chamilionaire. I love rap, but I absolutely despise him, his style, and all of the Dipset southern rap that pride's itself on being tough. They released a Christmas album, and use how tough they are to sell their CD's. It's ridiculous.

I like a lot of pop music. It seems that few people are able to make the distinction between pop, the genre, (the Beatles, Modest Mouse, etc.) and popular music (J-Lo, Eminem, Britney Spears). Yes, they do overlap often. But no, they aren't the same thing

I actually find that setting a friend's alarm for 3:30AM and to britney spears is funny. Her songs are so unbearable they could wake the dead, or just the mostly dead.

*laughs out loud* Sheeses, I think I would have to try that... fucking brilliant. I'm horrible at getting up early, perhaps this would be a solution? *snicker*

It's not my fault if your brain starts leaking out of your ears and prevents you from functioning properly, okay?
Sad to admit, but I actually enjoy the music of Anberlin.

Haha, Cypress Hill and NWA are the only "Gangsta Rap" groups I like, and their also two of my favourite Hip Hop groups.
I'm a big fan of Psychobetabuckdown and How I Could Just Kill a Man myself.

It works as an alarm, a lot like anything by AKON because you hate it so much you have to get up and destroy your alarm clock in a fit of annoyence.
