Balthier's voice + Puppy dog eyes is enough for me, and I feel Anders is going to be trouble. But I have to admit Merrill is a sore temptation. Oh, and one of the devs said Fenris was based on Valen Shadowbreath, which intrigues me. But Merrill!
Its weird because in DA:O I only romanced people other than Zevran to get the achievement, begrudgingly. Here there's no clear winner.
Except I'm so not touching Isabela.

Just started playing. I'm a little annoyed that I changed the main character's look and name, but people still keep calling me Hawke for some reason.

Does your character respond with dialogue like mass effect, or is it text like DA:O and KOTOR?

Mass Effect but with icons to mark the tonality.

Okay, seriously, fuck this game.
THE TEXT IS TOO SMALL I CAN'T READ A GODDAMN THING!
I am killing people but I have no idea who they are or why I'm killing them. I have no idea how much money I have or what Items I might want to buy/equip BECAUSE I CAN'T READ ANYTHING.
I really was excited about this game, but damn, Combat is boring because there's no drama, and quests are boring because I have no idea why I'm on them, I'm just wandering around. Dialogue is irritating because my character doesn't actually say what I tell him to say, and it's also mindless because there's no nuance to how I interact with people.
This is some kind of crappy hybrid between and RPG and an action game and it is very quickly failing at both. The fun of RPG's is the story, the control over your character, and outfitting your character cool new items. The game fails in all of these (mostly due to the lack readable of text) and it moves WAY too slowly to be a button-mashing action game.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell me there's a way to increase the text size...because otherwise I think I'll be returning this game and buying something actually fun.
It was cool to see Anders again.

Do you have it for PC? I'm sure someone will mod it.

Oh well. It amazes me that bioware would release anything with such a painful problem that only requires a quick fix.

Pssshaw, where are your balls Desp? The text is readable, I can read it and a lot of the time I can't make out peoples faces from a few steps away.

What size telly are ye using?
The same controversy surrounded the first Dead Rising. Unless you had a 42 inch or bigger you couldn't read anything on the screen text-wise.
http://www.google.ie/search?q=dead+rising+text+size
There were a few ideas for work arounds, but at the end of the day many people were still screwed.

Yeah, its uber tiny. I found dimming the brightness helped make it less blurry, and now I'm used to picking out what it says, but damn.

If you change your xbox settings to "Widescreen" it becomes easier to see.

Des how big is your tv? I've been thinking about getting it but I really don't want to deal with super small text.

Why doesn't Isabela have pants? And hey, why don't we see the dudes half naked during sexy time?
I praised Dragon Age: Origins to pieces when I wrote about gender representation in video games! DA2 isn't that bad, but its like the Joss Whedon Puppyverse all over again.

Is the demo anything like the game? I think it's boring so far.

Yeah it didn't start of great, save for Flemeth. I'm addicted though, and I'm not sure where to pinpoint where it got intriguing.

It's much like Origins in the way that it has moments of pure awesome and excitement and also really sleepy boring long moments, yet regardless, once a moment or two of awesome has hooked you, you can't stop. Combat is just so sexy too.

I don't really like the combat anymore. Feels like I'm button mashing.

Hahahahaha, not for me, but then I'm used to actual pure button mashing when playing a Pure Skill Hero in Fable 2. xD
