Totally out of the blue: The Sisters of Mercy's Dominion/Mother Russia is a track on one of the radiostations in GTA IV.

Fun.

I was walking through the counters of the national concern,
And the cash machine was spitting by my shoulder.
And I saw the multitude of faces...honest, rich, and clean,
As the merchandise exchanged and money roared.

And a woman hot with worry slyly slipped a tin of a stewing steak
into the paper bag at her side.
And her face was white with fear in case her actions were observed,
So she closed her eyes to keep her conscience blind.

I got 20gig of music off a DJ at the weekend, and what's the first track to come up when I hit random play? Sisters of Mercy- "Valentine".
I think computer may have taste.

So here I was, walking back home from work and happened to pass by two girls at a bus stop. I shall refer to them as chavs from here on out. As I walked by, I heard them laughing out loud. I look up to see what was happening and I see them pointing at my hair and laughing.

I stop, think for about a second and then just laugh along. That threw them off and I could tell that they were unsure as to how to proceed. Then I said out loud, "Do I really care what two ugly chav bitches wearing tracksuits really think of me? Fuck no." and walked away.

Too rude? Maybe. But it is extremely annoying that I will have to put up with this sort of behaviour on a daily basis with my hair being the way it is.

[ sigh ]

I got purple highlights at a place up in Camden. I was going for a subtle highlight/tint thing but I guess it's not subtle enough. =P

I'm pretty sure we don't have chavs in the U.S.; I don't even have a clear concept of what a chav is. So, what's the American equivalent of a Chav? Would it be like these "gangster" kids? Or what?

The Red Army Choir singing backup to the Leningrad Cowboys performing "Sweet Home Alabama". As you can see in url, I found out about this from tothepointnews.com

As bad as the world can be, it can be good to see we've made a little progress in some areas. Maybe there's hope for us yet.

I adore my philosophy prof. He let me turn in a paper two weeks late (he ask when I thought I would be able to get it in) and he only took off 5 points. Come to think of it I haven't turned in a single assignment on time for that class but I still have a B in the class cuz he is really awesome about problems as long as you talk to him at least the class before something is late (which works out really well for me because my problem is usually that I have too many assignments and it stresses me to the point of a panic attack but since I know that it will be a problem as soon as the work is assigned I can just talk to him then and all is good)

On a completely different note: the computers in the library no longer have firefox and it is driving me crazy
