Fashion DIY tips and gratuitous plugs. And hair. Hair! Flow it, show it. Wait...no. That's some hippie musical. Nevermind. |

I have that eat-shit-and-die look on my face I'm told when ever I go outside. I've only been called "******" by some of the wanksters here. Emu? I fucking hate birds!

"Are you Emo?"
No, but necro threads are exciting. I never liked sweater vests, Mr. Spock haircuts, or horn-rimmed glasses.
Only the most ignorant of the ignorant have asked me this question, and I often tell them that Emo is dead.

No, but my ex-roomate used to tease me unmerciful.. because she knew that it was a point of severe irritation for me.... oh and she seemed to think that black metal is emo... cause its not Arlo Guthrie...yeah... yeah...

Sad. I have always loved sweatervests and horn-rimmed glasses.
Anyway, back on topic-I used to get it my sophomore year in high school, but I deserved it then.

I have a friend who insists that I'm emo, because she believes all Goths are supposed to be depressed and that I'm too perky for that. Whatever.

Oh lord, i remember back when Emo first took off here (im in New Hampshire) and i was constantly being accused of being Emo. It always pissed me off because as far as i could tell, Emos were whiny and annoying. Obliviously they are not all like that but the majority here are. I was always getting such retarded questions as "Do you cut?" "do you want to commit suicide?" "Are you depressed?" and i hated it.

It sure does seem to be. Though indie seems to be on the rise, with a resurgence of grunge.

I actually heard a "real" emo band (emotive hardcore, or post hardcore or whatever the fuck it's called) fairly recently, and while it's not really my thing, it was pretty cool, and a lot better than the MCR-esque crap.
More on-topic; Nope, the mohawk generally saves me from that one.

I think some of it's kinda cute, I just dislike the music. Intensely.

Well yeah, doing anything just to be "cool" is fucking ridiculous, be it drink, drugs, nasty sex, or dressing a certain way. Yay cute emo girls anyway though.

It's really just a phase for teenagers, which is why I do not consider it a sub-culture.

I got called an emo because I was sitting on a park bench, listening to music, and smoking a cigarette. Still, I fared better than the guy in my area who got beat up for wearing black nail polish.
