RPing aaarrgh

Good God, are there no good non-diceplay roleplaying sites out there on the vast interweb?! I feel my mind is about to crack in two from the frustration and creative buildup that's forming. All I can ever find are Hogwarts or vampire type sites, and I'm no good at playing animals. And whenever I DO find a seemingly nice place, it's either deserted or I find it's mostly centered on Slash x_x

Sigh... how I miss the good old days...

Anyway. I suppose if anyone else is a play-by-post roleplayer, they should say something for the hell of it.

I suppose I could, but I doubt that it'd be put to much use. Else there would have already been an interest in roleplaying expressed by now, I thinks.

Um....I guess I should tell you since you haven't already noticed... there is a gaming section on these boards. It's titled "Tv, Movies and Games."

I used to to play-by-post RPG's; even owned a few sites myself. Unfortunately, all the good sites seems to have died... I used to be part of this great site called "Demon's Circle" (although that was also the dystopic vampire/ werewolf/ human rebellion kind of site) which was absolutely wonderful. Hm. I guess that if you want a good RP forum that doesn't do the vampire/ slash thing, you'll have to start one yourself... (if you do, give me a shout and I'll help you out - I'm missing RP)

I Roleplay in script-format with my friends on MSN Messenger. It's pretty hard to find people who do that, too.

On the other hand, I've never tried to join a post-by-post RP site. It might be nice. I've got so many characters, and nowhere to go with them...

I like the sound of that MSN setup, but I'd never be able to spit out anything good short of a half hour o_O Sounds like something worth looking into though. You should try pbp, you might find it rewarding if you go to the right place.

And I'd love to start my own forum, Minyaliel, but as far as I know any kind worth keeping would cost money that I'm not in the position to spend =/ So I'm left searching in hopes of finding something good. But who knows, maybe I could get something worked out and make one. I'll definitely let you know if I do.

Oh, alright.

Like any ordinary Thursday afternoon, Clockwork was fed up with the world's shortcomings, and this time he turned his focus to the lack of worthwhile roleplaying forums on the Internet. Clockwork - there are several good free hosts around; personally I've used Proboards.com for years and never had any trouble worth mentioning. Anyway... just thought I'd mention it. That last post of yours there made me laugh really hard, by the way... I know, I've got a morbid sense of humour.

RPGClassics....they have a decent RPing community there. The RPing sub-forum just needs more people.
