Elizabeth (my foster kitten) has turned into ElizaBitch, the Wee Cat From Hell. She has absolutely no sense of right and wrong, and spends her all her time thinking of new and different ways to be naughty and difficult.

At the shelter, she was so sweet and precious; she'd snuggle, kiss, and purr in your arms. Everyone was entranced by her kitty wiles. I thought she needed a couple of weeks of socialization, a spay, and a quick return to the Humane Society, where she'd find a forever home in no time.

Oh, no. Her upper respiratory infection came back, which required a vet visit and another two weeks of meds (thus extending her stay in our library by another month or so), and her true nature has emerged.

She is just bad. Her favorite hobbies include climbing the curtains, upending the food and water bowls, and putting her nice toys in the litterbox and pooping right on top of them.

Elizabeth also enjoys gazing speculatively at my uncovered extremities, calculating the optimum angle of attack, and then biting my hands and feet as hard as she can.

She uses her Evil Kitty Powers to determine which of my favorite books would make the best scratching post, and does her best to shred them.
While she does this, she sings the Evil Kitten Song, the chorus of which goes, "Ha ha ha, stupid lady, should've listened to your husband, ha ha ha."

But there are times when she is so damn cute...

Must obey the kitten.

Remembered moments about my trip to Germany: It's fun being in a town that's older then the US. It's not fun walking around on the wall around it (it was Rothenburg) after having two large glasses of German beer. Small girl and strong beer equates to me being a bit unsteady on my feet. >_<

Okay, so Elizabeth the kitten is not the pure distillation of evil. She's not Rosemary's Baby, or Damien, or my favorite evil twin of all time, Holland (from Thomas Tryon's wonderful novel, *The Other*). After all, she's just a little nippy kitty.

But... submitted for your approval...

The book she chose to pull off the shelf and chew on last night was *The Devil's Storybook*, by Natalie Babbitt.

She left it right in front of the door, where I'd be sure to see it when I walked in.

She is most indubitably BAD.

And now I must go and tend to her needs and demands. Despite the loss of skin that that entails. Damnit.

My cat isn't evil, she's just insane. She sleeps in her litter pan sometimes, or on the bathroom counter, or on the kitchen counter... She may have a split personality.
