So I like the smell of weird stuff
Like bleach, the dryer vent, gasoline, shower cleaner, clean wet towels, cats, sawdust and hot things (blowdried hair, the inside of cars on a hot day, clothes from the dryer).
Apparently bleach and gasoline are common things for people to like, but not the others. Anybody else have an odd smell they like that can beat mine?
PS If you say poop you're cheating and are disqualified.
PPS, my mother loves the smell of puppy breath. Nastay.

I like the smell of burning metal. I.e. when things are under an angle grinder. I also love the smell of burned tires. I like the smell of freshly cut grass. I love the smell of a freshly tarmacced road. I love the smell of sulphur burning. I love the smell of fresh meat, when I walk into a good butchers. I really like the smell of burned out electronics and I love the smell when you're the first to walk into a bar that hasn't been cleaned the night before .

Burned tires are a great smell, and sulphur-that reminds me how much I love the smell of just-lit matches. What does a dirty bar smell of?

Blood smells like pennies, doesn't it?
I like the smell of burning paper, or of bon fires. And fireworks.
Oh, and PAINT.

Generally depends on the bar. But mostly stale smoke, piss, spilt beer and sweat.
If you're in a bar that has a smoking ban, then logically it won't smell of smoke.

Ah, Apocalypse Now..........I should watch that again sometime soon. On topic, I like the smell of fresh packets of cotton wool, burning wire and plants, not flowers but just general green non flowering plants.

Blood tastes like pennies and smells sort of the same.
But on a warm day it smells sickly sweet.

Uh, I think NOT getting the reference without Googling ranks somewhere between managing to breathe unaided by ventilators and being able to wank without making noises like a pig being slaughtered.

Leaf mould, soil ( espescially after it's rained on a hot day ) the woods in general, my rabbit's fur ( kind of nutty mixed with hay ) bonfires/wood fires outdoors, sea air, a new book or sketchpad, burned matches, Horses, leather, freshly cut wood... the list goes on.

I'm glad someone else likes the smell of their animal's fur, I was starting to wonder about my cat fur thing. Dunno why but a non-dirty cat's fur has this dusty sweet smell, hard to explain.

My cats don't really smell.
Apart from the one that can't wipe his arse.

Have you seen the spate of new members recently? Some of them had to google the Soylent Green references a couple weeks ago.

Well, don't set the bar based solely on the mouth-breathers that have shown up lately. Sheesh!
When I give my dog a bath, he smells like the shampoo for a while. Sometimes I use a green apple scented shampoo and that smells nice. But after a bit, when the shampoo smell has worn off but before he starts smelling like he needs a bath again, there's an in-between period. During this time, when he curls up in my lap to take a nap and his body warms up, he smells like corn chips.
I really like that smell.

Old books, old leather, my pits. My girlfreind's breath. Scalp. The shop rooms of heating and air men--old metal and cleaning products, chemicals and sawdust, cigarette smoke and beer. Antique shops. The color nine. My own semen?

I must say I love the smell of a new CD just as you open the cover for the first time, the smell when you put on a new leather jacket for the first time, the smell of shoe polish, the smell of a dog's fur and definately the smell of salt water.

I like the smell of my mums sheppard's pie. It reminds me of when I was young and the only worry in the world was that the neighbours dog would eat my blue plastic tractor.

I'm really into the smell of yoga mats at the moment. It's so earthy and relaxing.

I love the smell of my hair's grease and my saliva together. I have a cushion where I always put my head when sleeping, I never wash it and it has that smell all over it, I don't know why it gets me horny.
