The Rolling Stones

Of course they're not a gothic band, but neither is Marilyn Manson and he's mentioned in this site. Plus, the Rolling Stones are much more talented than he is.

I just find it curious that there's not much mention of them.
Doesn't anyone here like the Rolling Stones too? I'm quite the fan of them.

I can't honestly say I'm a "hardcore fan" (in that I don't know their entire discography), but I don't think there are many who can truthfully say that there isn't even one 'Stones song that they could like.

Yeah, I like them. Mick Jagger is an awesome vocalist. The 'Stones do indeed rock.

Mick Jagger is cool, but there's something about Keith Richards that makes him my favorite.
Maybe it's his looks?

::facepalm::

THAT'S his name!! I always forget Keith's last name (partially because I knew a Keith Richards before I knew about the Rolling Stones, and the one I knew is nothing at all like the one in the band, so my mind dissociates them...).

Yes, Keith does *look* cooler overall, but Mick has the lips...

They're a really great, dark band. My favorite album of theirs is "Sticky Fingers", which has the best songs: Sway and Dead Flowers.

And Keith Richards had the best look in rock and roll: messy black hair, smeared eyeliner, Moroccan scarves, skull ring, and boots.

I like them, actually. They apparently had an influence on a lot of Goth bands, too. Alien Sex Fiend covered "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction", can't tell you HOW many gothic bands (VnV Nation, for one) have covered "Paint It Black", and I find a lot of their songs pretty enjoyable.

The Stones have been a great band with some great albums but I think its time for them to hang it up. watching them at their advanced age acting like rebel rockers is pretty depressing.

I like their stuff; very catchy. I've been humming "Sympathy for the devil" for weeks now =)

They don't know how to retire. Which is what I like about them.

Yes, I have grown up listening to them. I love their music. I think Mick Jagger is a great vocalist. I have their forty licks CD. I like the collection of songs on there.

Aww...

*looks into the mirror* Yep, it's me. I've had a busy time; studying acting turned out to be very time- consuming I won't hijack the thread, though. It's good to be back =)

Saw them play at Edison Field in Anaheim California over a decade ago (it used to be called "Angel Stadium" back then). So much energy!

Before the concert, everyone could see the roadies spread out a huge silver plastic thing in the parking lot, gigantic, then they inflated it into a huge bubble dome, with a door, and began to take all kinds of furniture and stuff inside. Then a limo pulled up, and Mick came out of the limo, and went into the dome! A portable dressing room! Awesome.

That was a cheap shot! And for your rude comment, Keith Richards is going to terrorise you in your sleep for years to come!!!
