First ever favourite music

Just curious, what was everyone first favourite band or kind of music when they were very young?

My favourite was Andrea Boccelli's 'Romanza' album, I listened to it almost every night before bed.

I was listening to thoses tapes over and over again.
-Life of Mozart, with long, beautiful pieceof his art.
-The Enchanted Flute, still Mozart.
But well, I was, very very young , I stopped listening to them when I was 7.

All classic rock. My dad always listens to it. My brother and I growing up we always listened to it because my dad was always playing it. My dad pretty much raised us on that stuff. I also liked TLC and NSYNC and a little Britney Spears. Of course I'm 14 now so I was very little when some of these people first appeared. I still stick with the classic rock now though. 70's and 80's rock music.

The first piece of music I can remember is Summer from the Four Seasons. I was first a classical music freak.

Heh, my dad was (and still is) obsessed with classical music so there's always some playing around the house. I didn't seem to have any obvious musical tastes until just a few years ago, suprisingly I wasn't too interested in music until about 3 years ago. Shows how much I've changed !

I can name a whole lot of favourites from between the ages of 3 and 7.

Lets see... The Beatles and the Beach Boys (my father's influence) Madonna, Eurythmics, Roxy Music, Cyndi Lauper, and Siouxsie and the Banshees (my mother's influence), and some random punk rock that I don't remember too well aside from lyrics along the lines of "if you touch me I will kill you" (my Aunt's influence, which my mother was not too pleased about considering the lyrical matter).

My taste hasn't actually changed much over the years, only there's been an evolution from old school punk to horror punk and deathrock, and from 80's pop to 80's goth.

Between the ages of about 10 and 15/16 I listened to what I will only describe as boybands. I wont say which for fear of deadly embarrasment and extreme shame. I feel the need for a salt scrub coming on........

During elementary school (90s) I loved that cheesy dance music. Real McCoy, Haddaway (or whatever), etc. Then I had a brief Chris Isaac obsession, along with the typical spice girls/boy band obsession.

I used to love these german children's tapes like Benjamin Blümchen (a talking elephant) and the smurfs. Hihi... the first CD I ever bought was Paradisio - Bailando and Aqua - Barbie Girl (both singles) when I was ?10?. At that time, Spice Girls craze was coming to Norway, I remember singing their songs in the back of the car when we were driving, although I didn't understand a word, and often made up words from what I thought I was hearing. I still get embarassed hearding this song "Mama, I love you... *something*" *blushes* After that came the Backstreet Boys... at one point I had all of their CD's. *hides* Needless to say, my musical tastes have developed since then... I can't stand it now.

Prince. . . I remember getting the CD for Christmas from "Santa" and from the album cover was all embarrassed by it, so tried hiding it, thinking no one would know who it was for since it was "Santa" that left it :P

Then I was into Backstreet boys. . .Glad that's over. Although Neuroticfish does oddly remind me of 'em.

But that was just me going into trendy things :P I always LOVED my Dad's Pink Floyd, Godsmack, and Kid Rock, etc. CDs.

And when I was teenager I liked very much Backstreet Boys,Hanson,Peter Andre,Paradisio,Spice Girls,Apulanta (this is a finnish, local band),Prodigy, and so on...I don't remember all of them.Luckily my music taste has changed during these years!
