Religious Tolerance. Ugh.

Getting along is more important than truth. People should believe whatever they want to without criticism.

It's not like religion ever hurts anyone anyway.

I mean really guys, Ugh.

I seem to remember a period of history where religion most definitively hurt a lot of people... Was it the crusades or inquisition? I forget...

Ugh. Don't deny people's right to pursue violence if it is a tenet of their religion. Your statement that all that death and destruction is water under the bridge is oppressive to radical extremist religions. They can practice death and destruction if they want to. Ugh!

I personally feel that any religion that can be organized, has capacity to be mobilized as demonstrated through history.

Religion can be very peaceful, it can be very passive. However, it's when one group feels the other is not being passive towards their beliefs that tensions rise. Neither are correct, nor wrong, but neither want to back down from their core beliefs either. It's not just religions either, but simply mob mentalities. political parties, musical styles (at least to a degree), and even generations are prone to disputes. but none-the-less, Tolerance does not mean 'leave my way alone at all costs'.

It's tolerant to forbid prayer from schools, unless all methods of prayer are equally respected. While this may come as a given, The Klu Klux Klan is a group of devout protestants. Their beliefs may be very offensive to others in the school. What about religions that pray with narcotics? Can the school allow them to bring illegal substances onto school ground for spiritual purposes?

We are tied to the rule of law, either let it all go, or stop it all. In many cases, Stop it all is much more preferred.

Massive, ignorant, non-joke-getting post. Ugh.
