I have two tattoos:

1) The fifth holy wound of christ. I used to be really Catholic... been atheist for a few years now. But I don't regret it, it represents who I used to be.

2) Crossed revolvers on my back. Symbolizes a kind of personal strength and sticking to my shit through a hard time I was going through.

I got a tattoo on the back of my neck. It is a black ankh. I am getting it touched up tomorrow actually, because it kinda got infected after I got it done and it is a little grey looking in spots instead of all black. I want to get a dagger on each forearm once I have some extra money. I had an earring and it got infected so I had to take it out. I am incrediably prone to skin disorders and dermatitis so I have to be VERY careful with peircings and tattoos. I was careful with the tattoo, but I got a little lazy after a few days and voila! infection happened overnight. I took 100% immacualte care of my earring, but it still got infected. Like I said, I have to be very careful with my skin.

With phys. ed. and a somewhat strict summer job, I can't do much. I've got my ears gauged to 5/8 and I got my septum pierced last night. Apparently I'm allowed to have my gauges, but I can easily flip my septum ring up during class and work. It's a teensie-tiny gauge, so it didn't hurt too much getting it done.

Looklooklook.

Bad idea... corset piercings are temporary - last a fortnight, tops, before rejecting - and leave scars.

I have also heard some nasty stories about them, mainly infections since you can't really see what you are doing when you clean them as they are on your back as well as the fact that they are only going to last so long before, so I really wouldn't recommend getting them

Drew, that was my reaction too

I'm going to get my parents' names written very nicely in a little heart at the base of me neck. That's for starters. In the future I want two sleeves. One a large Celtic design, perhaps with a large Celtic shield in the middle, the other a landscape of a city with something like the whitehouse in the middle, and the whole thing during a riot, windows broken, fire and such, and along the length of the arm in fine lettering it should say "Viva la Revolution"

I also want something on my back and ribs O_O

One of the main reasons that corset piercings are so troublesome is because of the stress put on them; human flesh isn't ideal for having "eyelets" attached to it, and even a relatively small amount of tension pulling on the corset will eventually cause them to... well, not really so much "reject" as to "slowly get pulled out".

If you want a long-term corset piercing, I'd reccomend using small transdermals or even microdermals; they'll have a more solid footing and will be able to take more strain without damage. I've also seen people that have gotten microdermal corsets but havn't taken into account the directions the corset will pull on the individual piercings. They should really be angled so that the "foot" of the microdermal will balance the strain best.

There are upsides to having been a pre-med when it comes to heavy duty mods. >_>

Ooh, fun thread. I'm very big in to body modification but don't have much done yet since I'm not sure what my career path will be yet. I have a 10g septum, 14g industrial, 16g daith, 18g left nostril, and freshly scalpelled lobes to 00g. They were at 4g for a while but I decided to have the placement fixed so I can reach my ultimate goal of 1/2" without worrying about thinning tissue.

Pics:
Septum and Nostril

If anyone is interested, here are some pics of my recent scalpelling. Warning, some are a bit bloody. Mostly afters but there are shots of before with no jewelry to show why I needed it done to keep stretching in the future.

Right Ear: tragus, conch, horizontal industrial and 3x helix, all of those I did myself except the industrial

Other stuff: CBR in my right nostril and my right eyebrow, and I should be getting snakebites on my lower lip done sometime soon, as soon as I find some cool spikeys to put in there.

I have my nose pierced.. it didn't really hurt THAT bad, but it made my eyes water like crazy.

For my 17th birthday in a few months, I'm either getting my lip or eyebrow done. I can't decide, but my mom is only allowing me one. -_-

The tattoo I'm hoping to get is something similar to what ZombiesNTea did. A "personal strength" for getting through past experiences. It's just taking me some time to decide on a perfect and appropriate one.

*picks jaw from the ground!!*

Tattoos are against my religion, but i like to think ... If tattoos were allowed, i'd get wings on my back, small ones... And something on the inside of my wrest,.,

I have a nose piercing, it didn't hurt, not one bit!!

I like teasing my sister with it, she had her eyebrow pierced But dad made her take it out... Hehe... I'm daddy's little girl ^^
