They only look bad on some people, I've seen girls that just suit it and I wouldn't see them any other way. I'm not planning to get one that doesn't suit me, size that is.

I'm not big on nose piercings in general. Or Monroe piercings for that matter. I like lip and eyebrow piercings though. But hey Alissa, it's not my face. If you want to stick a piece of metal through your septum and it'll make you happy, right on then.

You know what I like!?
Neither do I.
Nah, the only piercing I don't like are those hand web ones. So silly, I mean....your hand goes near your bum and everything.

I plan to. It's just really expensive so I will most likely have to wait till about Christmas, unless I magically get another load of money after I spend all my current money on gifts.

And just in case anyone is wondering, no Christmas ISN'T my holiday, but it IS my for family, so I never spoil it. Plus, gifts are never bad.

Who ever has to defend Christmas? D:>
I'm not even Christian and I love Christmas. u_u
I got mine done for 30 bucks.
It's not so much that you need it done 'professionally,' so much as that you need to know they can do a good job.
Make sure they have a portfolio, and ask to see it. Try to get some customer reviews. The last thing you want is an asshole piercing you, who can't do it right and has shitty bedside manner.
A good example is Phish from Slave to the Needle. He's well known, but upon further inspection, he's a pompous asshole who's prone to changing his customers' designs halfway through without asking them, among other things.

I'm not fond of the "look" either, but an acquaintance of mine just got hers done with very small gauged, pointy-end horshoe shaped jewelry. She loves it, but if you look at it the wrong way it looks like boogers hanging out lol.
I've got the "regular" nose piercing as well as my eyebrow (and multiple ear piercings), and I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE them. The nose is easy to take out once it's healed and replace with a clear retainer to hide it. I haven't tried taking out my eyebrow bar yet, but I want to get a smaller one because now that it's healed the bar is kind of "long" for me. I know you can get retainers for those too.
Most other facial piercings (around the mouth, cheeks, chin, etc) would be difficult to hide and probably take longer to heal, but don't quote me on that.

And he charged me cheap because he's a nice guy :B

Ok in the last two weeks I've seen several people with septum piercings, and I change my mind about the issue, but they don't work for everyone.

Not as hot as mine, though.

Oh hey.
Does this make me a trendsetter?
I just got a septum retainer. It sure is nice not having a CBB shoved up my nose.

I'm getting mine done in a month aswell.
Rejection rate is low and I'm only doing 18g
so that's small as it is and hardly visable when
ring is flipped into nose yes and it supposed to look
a bit ridiculous I think. That's partly why I'm getting it lol.

Please don't get it at 18g. ><
Any respectable piercer won't do it that small.
You're probably gonna accidentally tear it out at that small of a gauge. (see 'chese cutter effect' on the BMEzine wiki)
16g is the smallest you should do it at, and even that's a little worrisome. Under 14g, the jewelry is thin enough to tear out of you with almost no pressure involved.
