Cool friends? Just drop some roofies in their drink the next time you visit them and use them in your film. Change it into something like SAW with camera's and what not and have them fight their way out of some factory or some such.

Oh it happens. Trust me. I've sat in front of my comps desktop many a time thinking, "What the fuck do I DO! I don't feel like gaming, I don't feel like surfing, I don't feel like reading..."

Yeah, but after my long and productive s.nuff career I'm trying to evolve as an artist and work with some conscious actors on this next project.

Yes, and it was either that or open a can of Whoop-ass in the iPod-thread. I wisely chose the first option.

I want cat food! Wait, I don't want cat food. May I have the cash equivalent? Sorry if that's spelled wrong, kind of out of it tonight.

Sure you're not up for opening the can of whoop-ass? I could use some amusement. The downright awfulness of my new graphics tablet has put me in a mood for such things. And hell, if it's directed at me then I'll learn new things. I *like* learning new things.

Nah, but while I'm at it.. if you do install a UNIX-derivate, then you could always Dualboot. Partition your drive so you have a tiny Windows-partition with, say XP, that you use just for gaming, and when you're through with gaming, reboot into lovely opensource heaven.

Need to go find the specs for the new laptop before working out if that's feasible. You'd be amazed (well, actually, you probably wouldn't be) at the sheer amount of space Vista's taking up, and I'm not sure if my lil' laptop could handle dual-boot. Laptops aren't as easy as desktops to give whacking great upgrades to, after all.
