Okay so scratch that, about the whole "tehno" thing. They want that now.

This is getting really annoying, I mean they have to pick song and I have to let them decide on it as well. -.-

So basically more industrial and darkwave german bands are good.

I will take a look at those ones and see what they like so we can come to some sort of a consensus.

I absolutely recommend anything by Kraftwerk (especially "Europe Endless") or something by Einsteurzende Neubauten then. Both bands have been enormously influential in the experimental electronic music scenes.

At one point, before the techno scene became just a place to do drugs, techno people actually used to have massive respect for these bands as well. Unfortunately, mass-marketing came to town and changed that. (Thanks, Moby! :-/)

Out like Sauerkraut, which would be a badass name for a German music group.

Oh okay so I will try to see their reactions on :wumpscut:, Kraftwerk, and Einsteurzende Neubauten.

I liked E Nomine and I'm sad they don't like them.

They didn't even like Rammstein, Blutengel, or some of the other bands mentioned before!!!

What would be a good song in German that is upbeat-ish... as in not a sad song? (preference of my group members -.- Don't worry all Industrial, Darkwave, gothic, etc. bands are perfectly fine, they don't have to know. hehe)

That's actually not a bad song.
I can tell you that they will not like it, they will probably say something like "its not upbeat, we need something upbeat!"

You realize you're not getting what they actually listen to in Germany, right?

It's like playing Christian Death for America in that business profile thing.

What the fuck is new school EBM?

I am at a loss. I thought most of that stuff was futurepop or something.

New school EBM and futurepop intersect a lot. In fact, a lot of the futurepop bands you see will be labeled as "EBM/Futurepop".

New school EBM is like Old School EBM except it sucks. It has a much faster beat and it's poppier among other things.

Wow, people who claim to be 'in the scene' know less than some kid who isn't even old enough to be in it.

It figures.

Well today is the day that I get to present the project/seminar to the class. My group members have not told me which song they would like but they have some songs that they think are "okay".

My luck is seriously running low today. :P

Well thanks for your help everyone!!!! I think they decided between E Nomine and :wumpscut:. I hope I do well on this.
