Art?

Hey, I thought we had an art thread but there weren't any search matches. Anyways, I've been trying to get into art. Although I'm a person that is very good at music, I feel that I could still have the chance to be able to create art. The problem is, I haven't had any good art teachers my entire life. Now I've been drawing random things like anime characters and stuff but I want to expand it more, anyone have any guidance?

For me it all started with copying art on the internet, then to experimenting until I found my own style. I dunno, I haven't drawn in a while.

Draw what you see, still life and figure drawing is basically all you should do until you're confident in your abilities and even then you should continue doing still life.
Drawing is fun.

Good advice, Valerius.

Now, did I hear you say you've been drawing anime characters and such? So, it sounds to me as if you do enjoy drawing figures. If you want to get into that more, I'll offer one little piece of advice to you:

Learn anatomy.

Just practice drawing whenever you can. Pay attention to other drawings and real-life objects, observe how the lines connect and form shapes, and learn to model it.
