Well Delicate _Torture I'm 23 if that matters much.

And yes I do have a lot of firearms references, because that is one of my major hobbies in life and yes I take pride in my handy work with a sidearm or rifle.

If you agree on the point that guns don't kill people than why do you firearms piss you off?

Now you see Persephonex your third post was what I call a knee-jerk reaction, and Knee-jerk reactions are usually met with coddling, and that only furthers said type of reaction.

Now I say again if you don't like my hobbies and don't show any respect toward my interests, while I try to be a nice guy,I will not have your views shoved down my throat, unlike a few people I don't try to force shit on others.

And for the record the Gun Control Movement was started after the civil war to keep African-Americans from owning weapons to protect themselves from the KKK and other racist oganizations...so if you really want to go that route, feel free to do so it's still a "Free" Country after all,but I have not one problem with getting into the political side of this issue,if you really want to be embarrassed on a semi-public forum, okay but remember you started the whole thing.

If you doubt me on that little nugget of info look it up sometime,or just crack a history book.

OI! Relax! I simply stated my opinion. I don’t shove my views down ANYONE'S throats!
I welcomed you politely and simply made a statement, it was open for discussion and i was not placing you or your hobbies under attack...now kindly, climb the fuck of my back!
If you cant debate without assuming that someone is purposely out to ostracize you, I’m sorry...

I have nothing further to say.

Everyone take a breath...okay good.

I must say one thing I thought this was an introduction thread, not a debate thread. Maybe we should keep introductions and debates separated, just a suggestion.

So you're saying that having an intellectual conversation won’t help us get to know the person behind the introduction? Often the banter which follows the introductory thread identifies the person's character better than the original thread...

Well it's very interesting that you claim not to try and start shit yet you reduce yourself to name calling, and yes I view that as an attack as well as your stated opinion, funny my other hobbies involve writting and filmmaking, yet you didn't say anything about those two,you and Delicate _Torture in turn decided to draw attention too and "Debate" as you put it,your opinion, well this didn't start out as a debate, this started as an introduction, you're the two people that started this,I was fine until the both of you took it upon yourselves to attack my integrity.

Ding! Ding! Ding! One of you Hoplophobia riddled bastards finally got it right....Guns are Tools!

So you can say with all honesty that every single person in possession of a gun is fit to carry one? Are you also backing the idea that every person in possession of a gun is intellectually capable of understanding the responsibility of it? I think not. I was not aiming my statements at you as a person…you went straight into jumping down my throat before backing your views. Why join a forum if you cannot converse civilly on a topic which is relatively worth conversing, ESPECIALLY, if it interests you???

Calling a person names is not conversing civily, it is more like childish remarks than anything.

In regards to your questions, I do beilieve that people who legally obtain firearms are not only fit to carry one, but are also intellectually capable of understanding the responsibility of a firearm.

Rose, i did not aim the statement directly at him! If you followed the thread, i kept my statements general...
Also, what's the ratio of legally owned weapons to illegally owned ones in your country? Cos no one in this country could answer that question.
Take off your blinkers and look at the rest of the world for a minute.

Take off the shoes you're in now and put yourself in mine. How would you react to this if you knew that the firearm laws in your country were so lax that you could go and purchase a gun for a bottle of brandy? I've lost two friends because of idiots with guns...11 000 people died in my country last year, because of guns.
You tell me why they're so great...

I apologise if you think i was attacking you.

Well, think of it this way, you can take all the guns away and there would still be violence. People would just go back to using knives, bows and arrows etc..

I personally like firearms because I am short statured and easily overpowered. I would rather shoot and kill an attacker than be robbed, ***** and/or killed.

Converse in a civil manner.....I tried you started trying to cut me down from the get go.

I guess you can't handle it when somebody doesn't back down from you and kiss your feet and tell you what a strong "Respectful" person you are.

I'm fit to carry a weapon, yes I do understand the responsibility of carrying a firearm that can launch a copper coated projectile in excess of 1,000 fps (Feet Per Second),there are background checks upon background checks from state to state that anyone trying to obtain a firearm of any kind has to go through, if they don't check out in the B.A.T.F.E. files as someone that is not legally or mentally capable of owning such arms then the police are called in the case of a felon, turned away if they are found to be mentally incapable of owning said "Tool".

I have no problem conversing on the topic of firearms or their uses or legalities.

I do have a problem with someone attacking me based on the simple fact that I own firearms,as it was pointed out before in two previouse posts you used a very demeaning, term and yes I did take offense to that.

Sorry about what happened to your friend, but the sooner you realize that not everybody with a gun is out to kill you or any members of your family or loved ones, then the better off you will be.
