Genre?

Genre?
I am a musician
I love Gothic architecture!
I don't know much about all of the puritanical nuances of "Goth", but I cannot deny that my music is somehow influenced by Joy Division, and Bauhaus, I also really like Rasputina. My favorite band of all time is The Smiths
I load live performance [sync'd to the studio tracks] videos of them on youtube...just because I long to share theyre greatness, and most people where I live have never heard of them.
My music does not sound like The Smiths.
I moonlight in another fairly popular band which is nothing like my alternative style. I also have a working background [I perform, and give lessons] in Traditional Flamenco Guitar
For reasons which differ from the typical - I don a mask, I'ts my choice because I think the media, and the music industry, as a whole is ugly, and full of people whose masks change too frequently.
My alternative music which is at my web site, is a new step beginning this year, and I have yet to find any outlet for live performance -
Thats all for now. And I also really like the backround design you have here!

Thank you for having such a cool site

But...those are the exiles, forced to leave Figshire after expressing that they preferred mangos to figs. Nasty business.

And genre? Your name is intriguing and oddly enough, I only just heard Rasputina for the first time a few weeks ago. Very good stuff.

My experiences have by compulsion led me to where I am - and since 1986 I have developed a disdain for the type of genre classifications that straight jacket and stereo type artists or non - artists. I also know some people who are successful and respected in the music business - and who are literally confined by such semantics - I Love The Smiths, I am not ashamed to say that I like early Ministry [the "with sympathy", "Twitch" [and what falls in between] albums], I sang and played lead guitar for a Slayer and Cure cover band...at the same time, I play Traditional Flamenco guitar I like almost anything industrial - blah blah, what type of music could be said to ensue from such tastes? Anyway like the evolution of the name The Smiths, I have also grown so tired of the importance of the name in the first place...so I guess you could say that my name doesn't conform, and it is not very user friendly - despite my counsel I will continue to believe that the music itself will be the final arbiter.

Rasputina - aren't those strings just lovely!?

Yes aren't we all though? I can appreciate all kinds of music [get ready for a subjective comment...] as long as it's good.

Ah, but is it possible to appreciate music whether it's good or bad?

For shame!

How could you put down Nazareth?

Now you're messin' with a son of a bitch!
