Yes, another one amidst the fold
I found the link to this forum on a friend's myspace page. Thought I would check it out and upon reading many threads, I had to join. It's honestly refreshing to be a part of a group who actually has something to say! (thank the gods and thank you)
My name is ********. I am 37, living in "Charm City" a/k/a Baltimore City, MD. Iam Pagan, open-minded and openly accepting of everyone's points of view-even if I disagree (I certainly won't try to change your mind).
Interests include: Occult studies, Paranormal research & investigation, music, writing (currently working on my first book), web-dancing, horticulture, animal welfare, interior design, hiking and exploration, photography ...okay, I have a lot of interests and they keep me busy.
I am looking forward to meeting people and engaging in apparent intellectual and sometimes silly conversation. Nice to meet you all!

Did you star out your name, or did the word censors do it?

What is web-dancing? I've never heard of it before.

Allow me to start over by answering the following questions that were brought to my attention:
1. What do you do? (Hobbies, job): I work full time as a Veterinary Technician. I also run my own Pararnormal Investigation team with my best friend, Q here in Baltimore. Outside of paranormal studies, I also dabble in photography, horticulture, sewing, hiking, travel, and roller hockey.
2. Where are you from?: Born near D.C., lived all over the world, and currently back "home" in Baltimore, MD
3. Who is your favorite author?: Poppy Z.Brite, Stephen King, Nancy A. Collins, Dean Koontz, Edgar Allen Poe, Dorothy Parker.
4. What are your favorite films?: Anything that has dark undertones and foreign films. My favorite film is A Clockwork Orange, Nosferatu and Henry & June.
5. What music do you want played at your wedding?: I'm getting married? Yes... yes I am. We haven't decided on the music for our entrance but for the reception we'll have a lot of 80's new wave.
6. At your funeral?: I'll be dead. It won't matter.
7. This IS a gothic website, so... how do you want to die?: In my sleep. I know, boring but I am not really one for dramatics.
8. What kind of casket would you want?: I am being cremated.
9. What's your FAVORITE outfit?: Right now it's my hand-made black corset dress. That and a pair of jeans and my converse sneaks.
10. What's one thing you miss about being a little kid?: Dreaming about being a big kid. LOL
11. What's your favorite band?: Way too many to mention here. I am a huge Bowie fan though.
12. What kind of education do you have? What is/was/will be your major?: I graduated w/ a B.A. in Environmental Science and also went to Vet school for two years to become a RVT.
13. Why did you join?: Admittedly, I was lurking here for a couple days to get an idea what the people were like. I like the fact that this seems to be a no-nonsense board.
14. If the first 13 questions didn't give it away. What is your gender?: Devil Doll
And to answer the questions for those who posed them:
1. I did not star out my name. Perhaps I didn't realize we couldn't use our real names here?
2. Web-dancing is my term for web-surfing.
3. I have a lot of stories to tell regarding my experiences with the paranormal but I will forwarn you...I don't candy coat anything to make it spooky or whatever. Some of them aren't much at all, just little experiences and others are just really damned freakish!

Just like meat-slinger is my term for being a butcher
I'm not much for weddings and relationship type commencements, BUT I am much for new wave! Welcome.

Welcome. I almost intorduced myself without answering the questions, but my bretheren informed me that I should answer them. The newbie topic should have a bigger font or something to make it stand out, that way, there will be less no-question introductions, and avoid possible humiliation.

I'd love to hear some of your experiences with the paranormal. Would you care to share some of them?

I make up terms for things as well. I much prefer web-dancing to web-surfing. Welcome!
And quoting from the brilliant musical "Hairspray" Good Morning Baltimore!
