My parents

I cannot believe this.
My parents have just found my Satanic Bible and are screaming "Devil Worship!" at me.
For fuck sakes, Satanism isn't even Devil worship. Luciferianism is when you worship the Devil, isn't it?
But they're being so ignorant. They won't even let me explain why I have the book and what Satanism is.
I hate them so much right now.

They're giving me the cold shoulder now.
Mum also threatened that if I didn't get rid of the book, she'd throw me out of the house.
They still won't let me explain.
For fucks sake, I'm not even a follower. I'm just being curious.

Why should I get rid of the book, though?
It's not like I'm actually following the Religion.
I don't want to end up like them. I don't want to be an ignorant Bitch towards other religions when I'm older. I want to know about it so that I have reason to either judge it or to not judge it. So that I have the choice. So that I can make my own decisions about a religion like that.
I'm just pissed off because they're being so ignorant about it.

Don't be stubborn, you'll regret it, just get rid of it. Or pretend to get rid of it. Hide it somewhere.

You can not have the book and still not be ignorant about other religions when you're older, you know.

Have you read the Koran? The Talmud? The Lotus Sutra? The Holy Bible, even?

Face it, you're interested in Satanism because it's a goffikal religion and knowing about it will impress whatever tasteless morons regard themselves as your friends. If your mission is truly to understand all religions before you pass judgment on them, maybe you should start with others that are both more established and less upsetting to your parents, then read the Satanic Bible once you move out.

If your parents are going to kick you out if you don't, then obviously reading about Satanism shouldn't be as important.

Re: being kicked out, you really ought to explain to your parents that such action is illegal until you're into adulthood and if they don't want you around, they should've used a condom.

Maybe I should just leave.
I'm sick fucking fed up of my parents anyway. All they do is nag and nag and nag at me to do stuff that I don't wanna do.
I can't even look like a Goth in my own home because it's "Evil".
besides, I'm already hiding my Altar and all my books about Witchcraft from them. There's no where to hide the book where my Mum won't find it. I'd already hidden it right at the back of one of my drawers and somehow, Mum found it.

Yeah, I agree with ophelia.

It seems you have pushed thier limits, just get rid of the damn book and you can explain to them later.

I read the Koran as part of my Religious Education studies in Secondary school.
I was Christian for about 7 years of my life before I discovered Witchcraft.
I'm looked at every religion that is known out there and now I've moved onto Satanism.
I'm studying Religion because I'm curious. I want to know more about Religion and why people follow it.

They still can't throw me out unless it's for a valid reason.
Like, I get drunk every other night. I play my music too loudly. I don't do what I told. I go out every Saturday night, get drunk, have sex and then come home at 3am.
I do none of that, but it's those kind of things that are valid reasons for being thrown out.
I'm not a bad person. All I've ever done is do as I'm told. They have no real reason to throw me out of the house at all.
I know my rights, dammit.

Buddism.
Christianity.
Judism.
Witchcraft.
Wicca.
Chaos Magick.
Asatru (Or Odinism. They're both close to one another).
Angelology.

Those are just a few that I've looked at. We looked at some that aren't even main religions. Including the religion of the Jedi.

Just tell your parents that reading satanic mumbo jumbo is part of an interest in anthropology. Get some other religious texts to back up that assertion. You don't even need to read them, just have them on your bookshelf to dilute the shock that your fantastically open-minded parents feel.
