I watched the majority of it last night.
I was majorly tired though and kept falling asleep.
What I saw I liked though.
Although I was a little disappointed with a couple of songs.
Also I was surprised to see Joan Jett?

Yeah there was a couple of annoying songs from Shilo.
Haha.
I loved the other Largo brother!

All of the songs are bad.
If you like them, it's because you don't understand how songwriting works.
Probably language, too.

I'm not saying the Repo soundtrack is the pinnacle of musical genius by any means, but I still enjoyed it. Even though I enjoyed it, I can also add that I do understand both musical theory and language.

I suck at music. But I never said the songs were good, I enjoyed them. You're taking this movie too seriously.

Oh, shut the fuck up. Every clip I've seen from it plays like a shitty RHPS rip off.

^ Just because something isn't good, doesn't mean it can't be enjoyed. Jeez.

The music from Repo!: The Genetic Opera is awesome in the same way that Bleeding Love by Leona Lewis is awesome. Or that If I Were A Boy by Beyoncé is awesome. Or that Meat Loaf is awesome.

We're talking about Tony Head growling like he's in a high school metal band. The first time I watched the trailer I laughed for fifteen minutes.

I personally can't see how fans of RHPS could be said to know any more about songwriting or language than fans of Repo. In fact, I would go so far as to allege that no one who enjoys Katy Perry can ever behave as an elitist in regard to music.

Katy Perry's songs still have more substance than Repo.

I think the point is you stated anyone who liked the music couldn't possibly understand songwriting or language, which is plain untrue. I would agree with you if you stated that people who thought Repo contained great music didn't understand songwriting or language. Great music and enjoyable music can be very different things. Much like a pop novel can be enjoyed, even if it isn't great literature.
