I'll most likely sit in my room with the music cranked, same as usual [/bitterness]

For once, I actually have a girlfriend, but luckily, we both dislike Valentines Day because its commercialised crap, and theres no reason why we can't just be dice to each other every day, like JCC says.
Also, sadly, I can't actually see her on the 14th, because we live quite a way away from each other and we both have transport issues atm

That would only add to the commercialization so if they don't like that aspect of the holiday then why would they buy stuff for each other?
If however you would like to do something that doesn't play into the commercialization of the holiday then email her a love letter (because even the people who hate the commercialization of the holiday don't want to be completely left out)

You can get your girlfriend flowers any day. A love letter is a good idea though.

Love letters are better than just about any present because it has so much thought and emotion in it (plus it never goes bad or out of style)

Love letters are the way to go. My ex use to do that and it was way better then getting flowers or candy. He use to make stories out of CDs too, which was pretty cool

I'm going to slave away in the cubicle mines for about eight hours, fight traffic, and then come home and do a few hours of kata. Hopefully the physical exertion will be enough to make me sleep.
