The increase in your utilities, is most likely due to the increase in heating bill. This is especially true if you have a gas furnace.

If the blood blister is small, don't pop it, it will heal faster. That doesn't mean you can't put a cartoon bandaid on it, though, especially if it helps you leave it alone to heal. *wink*

As far as the busted sink pipe goes... is there a place oudside where you can temporairily dump nasty sink water? If there is, then you could fill up one of your bigger pans or bowls with soapy water... clean as many as you can.

I feel decidedly unwell. My own fault due to drink and moderate bad eating over xmas and new year of course. Exercise classes start back up Monday, as does work so back to normal eating regime and exercise.

I bought a new swimsuit too, a size smaller than my last which is great. I can now crowbar a swimming session in each week, and do the front crawl without the risk of my straps falling off and alarming anyone swimming underwater with goggles on.

What are tipping rates for delivery guys now?

I think the pizza guy just screwed me. He took a $5 tip on a $25 order and only drove 3 blocks to get here.

Oh well, I'll let him slide. I once answered the door for him while playing my stereo and he said, "Wow. Is that Joy Division?" So, he's been cool in my book ever since.

I definitely do not know how to raise kids.
My son borrowed a hundred bucks from dad then quit his job.

He sure as hell is going to work it off, working around the house, starting with taking down the Christmas lights off the roof.

I think I'll have him change the brakes on his mother's car next.

Wow! Borrowed $100 and then quit his job. And his answer when you asked how did he figure he was going to repay it? Some variation of "I'm your kid; what are you gonna do about it?" ... Probably, eh?

That just sucks. Frustrating because he thinks he really doesn't have to worry about paying you back. More concerning because there's not a huge difference in the mind of a late-teenage boy between a father and other authority figures.

So how close is he to thinking it's okay to live like that as an adult, racking up debt then quiting a job if he doesn't like it even though there are bills that need to be paid. That's the bigger thing. Oh, I know you miss the cash, but I figure you're more worried about what kind of path he's on.

It does really suck.

I've had a lame fucking day. I went to bed early so I could get up when the sun was still in the sky, but was roused at 6 am by the itchy fucking insect bites I had acquired at my friends' filthy apartment. After cauterizing them with the radiator-- this being said device's only utility because it certainly doesn't heat my apartment to any perceptible extent-- I finally fell asleep, not waking again until 5 PM. By that time it was too late and too cold to do the shit I needed to do, so I just spent the day shivering in my bed like a goon, mulling about the internet, from which I learned that I unknowingly had sex with a girl who enjoys 'Glee'.

Just when I get my browsers tweaked to the point where I don't see any spam when I come to Gnet, the bots find new ways to get in and spam directly into the threads.

Oh...and can we have a couple more trolls pretending to be black and imitating the worst stereotypical traits of an already stigmatized race? Because that's highly original and humorous. It's never been done before and I'm sure we have room for at least 6 more before the joke gets old.
