I must have read every damn baby name book in existance...
I really wanted to name one of my children "Sebastian", but their father was psychotically enraged by that idea because he's convinced his ex had cheated on him with Sebastian Bach.
I also considered, for a boy... River- didn't work with my last name. Aiden- until I saw it was the most popular baby name in 2007. *sigh* Guess I'm not as unique as I thought. Arden- loved the name, but couldn't get past a bad association. Lucian- a possibility if I ever have another one.
For a girl.. Winter, Autumn, Annabella, Aurora, Zoe, Meleena, Kaeldra- I really liked this but I just knew everyone would call her "Kelly" and I hate that name (another bad association), Eve.. I really liked the nickname "Evie". Freddie- I just liked it for a girl, okay?? Though should I ever actually produce a girlchild now, I would name her Layla Renee after my sister.

Oh I'm gonna have that trouble too. I love the name Seraphina but hate the name Sarah.
I also hate the name Alice and hate it when someone calls me that (my name is Alison)

I've had people call me things I hate as nicknames and they always act like you're bitchy when you correct them. Bah. I liked the idea of "Kell" as a nickname from "Kaeldra" but I know everyone on the father's side would end up saying "Kelly" due to their enduring love for and respect of, all things ordinary and unremarkable I liked the girl names Christine, Linda, Laura, and Rebecca.. But I wanted to give the child a name that 200 other people in their own school wouldn't have also. If I'd even had girls, that is.

Kaeldra is a really cool name. You pick that name and you bitch/correct them as much as you can. Make them realize THAT is her name. Nothing else, SO GET IT RIGHT!

When I get a pig, i'm gunna call it Piggle Jeremia Squim. My chickens are gunna be called Ethel, Margeret and Cabbage. If I could have a cow i'd call it Miss Maria Marmalade.
But I wont be able to get a pig or chickens for ages...Dammit, I love pigs.

For years I wanted to call my first son Orion. YEARS I tells ya!. I got a Greek Bf and it was all falling into place. With it being a greek name I thought "yea now ppl will not think its a weird name because I'm with a greek so the name works"
Then we split up and I dont want the name anymore.

I don't know about boys' names, but I already have two boys, so I'm not really worried about it. If we ever have a girl, her name will be Evania.

If I ever have children, I have a few names picked out.
Girls:
Odette
Odile
Lucretia
Laufeia
Though, I might reconsider the last one.
Boys:
Loki
Askel
I really like these names, I wouldn't have minded being named any one of these. Seriously, what were my parent's on when they decided to name me? Megan has to be one of the most common names ever.

I'm not sure what I will name my next child, but I do know the names I won't be giving him. I find the best way to figure out names NOT to call yer child is to watch the 'whose my babys daddy' episodes of Maury. Have ye ever seen the names they give those children?
D'qwan, Shani'qua, La'quiffa, and the list goes on...
