Always the way with playwrights' work though, isn't it? I'm only able to get into it because I know my shit will NEVER be performed, and although the idea of an audience sitting through parts of it amuses me greatly, I think I'd hulk out on every other line at rehearsals because of it not sounding EXACTLY the way it did in my head.

Samuel Beckett is kind of acquired taste. I actually played in "Waiting for Godot" in high school. Needless to say, the high point was the audience who "just didn't get it."
