I go to bed every night at 4 am, or wake up at 4 am, one or the other, I am always up awake at 4 in the morning.

I think his plan was to bring in to the next level. Have them in costume and makeup, and have charecter progression, and good writers, and make the viewers get so into the story they don't know what they are looking at for like the first half of the first episode.
