Music Finally, an entire forum devoted to talking about Doktor Avalanche, the drum machine for the Sisters of Mercy. You can talk about other bands, or other members of that band, too, if you want to be UNCOOL. |

Rozz Williams
Rest in peace, November 6, 1963 – April 1, 1998.
The anniversary of his death was today. Sorry if it's been posted, just didn't see it if it had it's own topic.

It has a very old thread for it.
I dedicated this month's 1334 flyer to Rozz. Happy deathday to His Deathrockiness.

Just thought I would mention that 2000 minus 666 equals 1334.

A friend of mine who ran his own fanzine in the mid 90s got to talk to Rozz on the phone totally by accident one day. He was supposed to be setting up an interview with Eva O. and called some number she had given him. I don't know if it was her home number, or a studio, or what but it went something like this:
"Hello. Is Eva there?"
:: pause::
"So who is this?"
:: pause::
"OK....Ummm...can you ask her to call me at ###-####. Thanks. Bye."
He hangs up the phone--looks like he just saw a ghost--and says, "Wow. That was Rozz Williams."
The same guy got to interview Peter Murphy too, and all I got out of the zine was free CDs.

I made this thread last year, but mine was funnier. Let's make jokes about him.
Q: How many Rozz Williams' does it take to screw in a light bulb.
A: He's dead.
Q: What's dead and hangs in an apartment?
A: Rozz Williams.
Q: What's funnier than watching someone you hate fall down the stairs.
A: Rozz Williams jokes.
alternative answer: Saying "Haha! You just fell down the STAIRS - UNCERTAIN JOURNEY."
I have to go to the dentist because I have a CAVITY - FIRST COMMUNION.

Rozz Williams walks into a bar, and asks for a drink, but the bartender looks at him and says:
"Nope, sorry. You're dead."
