Reintro from Blackbird
I was on here a while back, but here I am again. I'm not very good at intros, so I'll use the handy-dandy survey thing to help.
I like to go by Blackbird, and I'm a writer from the state of VA, waiting on my first novel to come back from my editor. Other than writing, I'm into knitting, crocheting, drawing and photography. I don't have one outstanding favorite author, but I like a lot of Poe and Bradbury, and I've been getting into Garth Nix recently. I'm a big Alice in Wonderland fan. In terms of films, I'm hopelessly addicted to Doctor Who. Harry Potter, the black and white Addams Family series, Stargate, M*A*S*H 4077. I don't have television, but I rent things through the internet to try them out.
If I ever have a wedding, I want loud music. Loud. Happy, but not sickening. Jimmy Eat World style, I think. Two definite songs I have to have played are Moonlight Sonata and Thriller. For my funeral, at least She by Tenpenny Joke.
How do I want to die? I think the fact that I find this question amusing proves I need to post here. In some grimly heroic fashion, if it must be unnatural. Drinking hemlock for a friend(or stranger) comes to mind. After that, I'd prefer a black lacquer casket with silver fixtures, lined with green.
When I feel dollish, my favorite outfit is my knee-length black dress with a smocked front, shirt collar and tie waist. With that goes pointy-toe laceup boots and a knee-length knit/mesh cover with a hood. When I feel more gentlemanly, I like a white shirt, black vest and black&white striped tie, though I ruined my black vest through a long story...
One thing I miss about being a little kid is that when people were stupid, you could write them off as "just kids," but now people are just stupid because they are.
My favorite band at the moment is Muse, followed closely by U2. I like some MCR, Rise Against and Franz Ferdinand. And The Beatles.
I joined because, as I said, people are stupid.
I'm lonely for something interesting in a good way.
