as you may know, I was in the midst of writing a novel. The best novel I had ever written...for the love of evil, my lover deleted the entire thing!!He did not do it on purpose, and we sent it to a professional to try to find the files in the fail safe thing but ..for the love of CHRIST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I strangled him for a while then let him writhe on the ground, but I let him live perhaps out of love

.....in time though as events span accidents happen so let him stay alive.

Well... at least it wasn't a finished deleted copy..? you should be able to memorize the gist of what you had written and put it back more quickly together than when you first started it.

I hope you get to finish you awesome novel though! Best of luck.

thanks, I don't know if I can remember all the intricacies and nuances but the general story is still in my mind it will take at least one month of my life to rewrite what I lost...I think I am too dejected to even try...

Seriously, going back to allyssa, it must be so frustrating to have lost so much work; you have my heartfelt sympathy. This is why computer people bleat on about always backing up important data. They're not wrong, and it's not a lot of money for a USB memory stick.

You have my complete and sincere sympathy. You were generous to let him live. Now, go print out a hard copy of anything else you've written, put it in a fire-safe box, and entrust the key to your cat.

thanks kitty, and all..I've started a new novel and uploaded it right away to google docs! hopefully it will be safe!
The bright side of the story is that my lover now is trying desperately too make it up to me with massages chocolate fondue and presents, my new novel is much more fun to write too because it is about seductive mermaids!

well, after writing for 6 hours and drinking 5 cups of espresso I don't have the concentration to actually put in punctuation, and think about grammar...And my hands feel sort of like claws from hovering over the computer...most of the inspiration is drained out of me like blood, sorry.

i lost some of my work and had some thrown away.
i don't moan about it.
