Hello.
Hello, I'm S.I.M.S and I've been away for quite a while so I thought I would do a new introduction.
1. What do you do? (Hobbies, job)
I'm a student, no job as of yet. I enjoy painting and drawing, cycling (especially in the early morning), cooking and of course reading.
2. Where are you from?
South-east England.
3. Who is your favorite author?
Angela Carter, Martin McDonagh, Katherine Dunn, Phillip Pullman. To be fair they're authors of books that I have just recently finished, but I did really enjoy them. I've got a reading list for the summer starting off with E.H. Gombrich's 'The Story of Art'.
4. What are your favorite films?
Pan's Labyrinth, Twelve Monkeys, The Hunchback of Notre Dame (the 1939 version), Strictly Ballroom, Psychomania, and Brothers Of The Head. There are others but I can't really remember them right now.
5. What music do you want played at your wedding?
I'm not sure. I'll wait until a wedding is on the cards for me.
6. At your funeral?
Patrick Wolf's version of 'Idumea'.
7. This IS a gothic website, so... how do you want to die?
Preferably without pain (I'll admit I'm a wimp when it comes to pain) and hopefully after acomplishing everything that I wanted to do in life. But I think that might be wishful thinking.
8. What kind of casket would you want?
Possibly just a plain wooden coffin. I don't think I'll mind. I'll be dead.
9. What's your FAVORITE outfit?
My black and white striped 1950's style beach dress, with some tights, my little black cardigan and my black patent high heels.
10. What's one thing you miss about being a little kid?
My primary school. Until the first headteacher left, it was great. I do recall that one lesson we stood outside and watched the teacher burn various things just to see what they looked like burnt.
11. What's your favorite band?
At the moment I'm listening to a lot of Kate Bush, Lydia Lunch, Final Fantasy, Patrick Wolf, Bat For Lashes, The Cramps, Lightspeed Champion, Bishi, T-Rex, The Glove, Arban, Siouxsie and the Banshees, The Sisters of Mercy and Bauhaus.
12. What kind of education do you have? What is/was/will be your major?
Last Friday I finished my A-Levels. I studied Art, Drama and History (which was divided into two subjects, Russia 1855-1955 and the Cold War).
In September I'm going to an A-Level college to do an art foundation course, and then hopefully get in to university to study art and art history.
13. Why did you join?
Initially because I was bored. But I've got the whole of the summer free, so I thought it would be nice to get back here.
14. If the first 13 questions didn't give it away. What is your gender?
Female.
I hope everyone has been doing ok and I look forward to posting!

You seem like an all right chick. I like you.
Brothers of the Head was a movie I picked out on a whim. I'd never heard of it prior to buying it, but the synopsis looked interesting. I haven't sat down strictly to watch it, but I have had it playing and it seems pretty neat. The ending was a bit sad, though.

Thanks everyone, it's nice to be back.
I loved the music in Brothers of the Head. I discovered it after looking for some other things that the Treadaway twins were in. I haven't read the book it was based on, but it's still quite disturbing and strange.

Hah, just yesterday I thought out of the blue 'I wonder what's been up to with SIMS.' No joke.
Hi.

I was wondering when the bunny ears would come up.
I went away to do my exams, sort out my art foundation course and I was quite ill at the start of the year.
But it's great to be back.
