Some one fixed it up for me...over an ice cube or something, and yes it had sugar. It reminded me of horrible cough syrup.

Arrogant Bastard isn't going to taste good to you, unless you like obnoxiously hoppy beer. I've tried a couple of Stone brewing's beers and the one I liked was their Levitation ale, however it is also rather obnoxious as well. I must say that drinking either is kind of like getting a spanking on one's taste buds, so if you're not into taste bud spanking... I'd suggest trying something a little tamer.
One of my favorite beers, is by Pyramid. Its their Apricot Ale. I describe the taste as eating delicious bread with some delicious apricot preserves. When I'm feeling a little fruity, its what I go for. I certainly recommend it for those who somewhat enjoy the taste of beer, but aren't up for the hoppy escapades of other beers.

This should probably go in the what are you drinking thread, but I don't give a fuck. You all need to get horribly shitfaced on pastis.

Pyramid beers are pretty awesome. I'm going to have to agree with Despanan about the Bud Light, though.

Despanan, you must be pretty bored if you're going to follow me around and tell me about all of the fail I seem to be full of.
If you have an actual beef with me, please tell me what it is, but this passive aggressive bullshit does not become you.

If I am indeed, as you seem to think, "following you around and telling you about all the fail that you have" that's not passive aggressive, that's aggressive aggressive.

AD, I really like most of these beers you just mentioned: Pyramid Apricot, Strawberry Blonde, Sam Adams....
We must find each other and meet up for some enjoying together, yes?
(or does that just make me sound creepy + stalker-ish? )

Never even attempted absinthe because I hate black licorice.
Also do not like the Smirnoff fruit flavored things. They make me throw up.
DO NOT LIKE wine from Barefoot (?). My mom had Asti champagne at her wedding and I thought that was nice, as it was pretty much Sprite.
When it was cold at school I'd bring a mug-thing of hot chocolate with whiskey splashed in. They should make more chocolately drinks.

Rum and chocolate almond milk is surprisingly really good.
Mudslides are good too.

Mudslides are awesome.. and I'm sure that they're responsible for a good part of the population.

Yah most alcohol makes me break out in hives if I drink too much of it. Due to my blood being really thin and an allergy to alcohol. But I usually can get away with maybe 5 drinks and I'm fine. Unless I drink smirnoff which after one, makes feel like I'm dying.

I'm not much into fruit soaked into my beer, with the exception of Lindeman's Framboise Lambic, a Belgian ale fermented with raspberries:
I'm a hop man, the more the merrier. For example, Bell's seasonal Hopslam Ale:
A sipping beer with an absolutely fantastic weight and complexity of flavor. This January, if you can find some, I highly suggest starting your year out right and trying it.
But my current favorite is my own. I recently completed my first home brew and it turned out quite nicely. I went with an ESP (Extra Special Bitter, known for a high amount of hops ) kit and doubled the fermenting time. The end product was an extra smooth, medium weight beer with wonderful flavor untainted by preservatives. It tastes a bit like Samuel Adams, but heavier like a porter.

Oh my, that hopslam looks dangerous, in a good way.
Congratulations on brewing your first home brew!!! I've not had the chance to brew my own beer at home yet, but my FIL and Hubby get together and brew sometimes. I am a big fan of his beers, I can taste the vitamins in them.
