Floor Jansen from After Forever, for the strength of her voice.
Chrsitina Aguilers, for her amazing vocal abilities.
Deborah Gonзalves from Pettalom.
Tilo Wolff from Lacrimosa, simply and only beacuse his songs are so personal that only he can sing them and share his feelings with thw person who hears his music.

There are probably much more, but those are the ones that come to mind.

The famous half of my favourite singers, listed in no particular order:

Cecilia Bartóli, operatic mezzo soprano; amazing voice and beautiful renditions

Elvis Presley, the best tenor ever to enter the pop industry, although possibly competing with

Robbie Williams, who actually is an amazing singer whom I admire

Billie Holiday, not for her vocal abilities, but for her interpretation

Morrissey; his voice and interpretation of Moon River made me cry because I thought it was so beautiful

Siouxsie Sioux, for her daring style and fun interpretations

David Bowie, who is a musical deity in himself and whom I've practically worshipped since I first heard the Ziggy Stardust album

Andrea Bocelli, the man whose voice makes me want to faint with delight

Frank Sinatra; I really like the mellow, elegant sound of his voice

I could actually go on and on about this, but I'll refrain from boring you.

Cool

In no particular order ...

Carl Mcoy (Fields Of The Nephilim) he adds so much dimension to his shamanic vocal performance !!!. Track `Love Under Will`

Bruce Dickinson (Iron Maiden) they didnt used to nickname him `The air raid siren` for nothing !!!. Track `The Number Of The Beast`

King Diamond (MercyfulFate/King Diamond) probably one of the spookiest voices in metal !!!. Track `Sleepless Nights`

Rozz Williams (Christian Death) one of my all time favourite vocalists, he had such an expressive way of not only singing the songs but making them a performance too !!!. Track `The Angels`

Barney Greenway (Napalm Death) RRRRRAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHH !!!. Track `Suffer The Children`

Ronnie James Dio (Rainbow, Black Sabbath, Dio) Another powerhouse of a vocalist who has good dynamic vocal range !!!. Track `Last In Line`

John Tardy (Obituary) one of the most original voices of Death Metal !!!. Track `Slowly We Rot`

Andrew Eldritch (Sisters Of Mercy) one of the genre defining voices of Goth !!!. Track `First And Last And Always`

James La Brie (Dream Theater) one of the best vocalists in the metal, and again not afraid to use his voice dynamically !!!. Track `Metropolis PT.1`

Siouxsie Sioux (Siouxsie And The Banshees) an iconic, powerful and unique voice !!!. Track `Israel`

Ian Gillian (Deep Purple) a voice that inspired a genre !!!. Track `Child IN Time`

Tom G Warrior (Celtic Frost) one of the inventors of the `Death Grunt` and another influencial voice for extreme metal !!!. Track `Circle Of The Tyrants`

To name a few ...

A few of mine:

Peter Murphy- he's got a great singing voice, I find it quite commanding.

Feist- I absolutely love her voice on her track 'The Water'.

Ostern Bergoy- he got me rather interested in male singers.

Siouxsie Sioux- especially her early stuff. I thought her voice was fantastic when on 'Kaleidoscope'.

Owen Pallett-his voice compliments his music perfectly and it's not over the top.

Natasha Khan- she's got a bit of Siouxsie and Bjork going on, plus what you hear on record is exactly what you get live.

Patrick Wolf- he's actually better live. His voice is versatile and he always sings with effort. There's also the bonus of him being a pretty good musician too.

Lene Lovich- she's got a really weird voice, which I love .

David Bowie- I'm pretty sure all of the other male singers I listen to try to emulate his voice in some way or another.

Kate Bush- every album, her voice sounds different. With her demo's she had a really high chirpy voice, but by 'Aerial' she was more husky and serious. She really experimented with what her voice could do on 'The Dreaming'.

Andi Sexgang. Incredibly unique and his live performances are amazing.

Also Eve Ghost, particularly in Purnama, her short-lived side project.

And of course Rozz Williams.

There are too many to name really, I love the vocals in 99% of the bands I listen to.

Andi Sexgang, yes. I love his weirdo lyrics.
Also, Nick Blinko because he's the most interesting man on the planet.

I like Mikael Stanne's (Dark Tranquillity) voice, especially when he sings cleanly. It's just really interesting to see him go from a really deep, harsh voice to a really calm, clean voice.

Nobody in the entire thread has said Ian Curtis! Come on!

For me it's him, along with Jim Morrison.
