Fuzzy boots!
Fuzzy wuzzy was a bear, fuzzy wuzzy had no hair, fuzzy wuzzy wasn't fuzzy, was he? Teehee, anyway..
What do all of you think of furry boots? I'm looking for a pair myself right now(faux fur, not the real deal), hopefully that I won't have to hand over an arm and a leg for. Fuzzy boots really don't strike me as something that people involved in the gothic subculture would be interested in, so now I'm curious if they're considered trashy or what...
Any input on the fluffy boots would be all very interesting to read ^^

Please don't take this as a personal insult, but I really cannot stand them. Every time I see a pair I wonder when looking like a Russian peasant from the 18th century came into fashion; Kulak chic, as it were.

You mean those furry boots and/or furry bootcovers that are so popular in the "cyber" scene?
I personally hate them...I hate them alot. But, that's just my opinion...I think the whole goggle thing is silly too. I think if you like them, you should get them. I saw a girl at a club a few weeks ago with rainbow colored furry bootcovers, and a matching rainbow color furry top. It burned holes in my corneas.

I'm rather fond of goggles. Though I can see how they may suit some and not others.

Are you sure you want fuzzy leg-warmers?
They have to kill 5 Muppets to make a pair.

I think they look... strange. Personally I'd not be caught dead (or undead) wearing a pair of fuzzy boots.

Those have been catching on around here. I regard them as nothing more than a curiosity as I see them walking by.

These aren't soooo bad:

I think the black ones are actually cute. The women that I've seen wearing (black) fur boots wore them really well, but honestly, I don't see them worn that much anymore. Not too sure how I feel about any other colors though. The only other ones I've seen are pink and tan, and those look like the result of a really bad stomach ache *gag* Do shops manufacture other colors or is it more of a DIY thing?
Regardless, I say have fun with furry boots if you're really interested.

How on earth do you stop those things from getting wreaked the first time you wear them?

Did anyone catch that report a few weeks back about faux fur items on the market? Turns out that all that faux fur is actually dog fur imported from China. Taken from wee dogs that are clubbed to death, or sometimes skinned alive.

A few weeks back? The last I had heard of the incident involving dog fur being labeled as "faux" was last year. By any chance, do you have a link to the most recent article?

Holy buckets! Even the fashion forum isn't safe from him.
Not ALL faux fur has dog fur in it. The particular canine you are speaking of is the Racoon Dog. Racoon Dog It's not a true dog.
The fur has only been found on the higher end designers clothing.
http://www.cnn.com/2007/POLITICS/02/07/dog.fur/
While the methods used to obtain the fur is horrible, YOU should not make sweeping generalizations just to get everyone in an uproar. The Humane Society wouldn't have made a stink about it if getting the fur was done humanely. We do still have rabbit, mink, sable, fox and lynx coats for sale everywhere.
I suggest you go back to surfing for those leftist articles you so love to link to and stick to the political forum. Don't sully this forum with your crap.

When I think of fuzzy boots I am reminded of hair bands from the 80's.
*I apologize for my rant. This one of those times I should have just layed in the bed staring at the blackness til I finally dozed off.*

Hmm... the only people I've seen them on are the cyber kids in Camden. I suppose they don't look too bad, but I'm not that keen on them myself.

The law firm I work for is handling a lawsuit involving the supposedly faux fur and rabbit fur coats that turned out to be dog and raccoon dog. It's just horrible.

I don't think it really matters what kind of animal the fur came from. Animals raised on fur farms are abused from the day they're born to the day of slaughter. It's terrible.

I said the methods they used to obtain the fur from the Racoon Dogs was horrible. That is the reason the Humane Society was putting up such a stink. The methods used for obtaining fur in the fur industry doesn't sit with me weil either but it must sit well with the Humane Society since the fur industry is still going along fairly strong.
It was Sternn's wording that put me off; (and the fact that I was incredibly tired and irritable) wee dogs. What immediately came to mind? Yours or someones pet.
Off topic but sort of on this...I live in Iowa, if people saw what went on in slaughter houses, cattle/hog lots, chicken farms and egg plants they would become vegetarians.
It's amazing what people will put up with even when they know what's happening yet push it to that convenvient place where they don't have to think about it.
I will now return you to fuzzy boots.
Threadjacking over and out.

God, I just think the accessory of fuzziness on boots tends to be an unnessecairy fashion element. If anything, I could only see them on boots if one perfers it generally.
