Granted, but your work has a sloppy, low-grade quality that is given, well, a low grade, causing your GPA to decrease, and ultimately ruining your chances of getting into a decent college.

Granted. You sleep less and rest the same amount. But you have to sleep so deep to compensate, you can't wake by anything and you still can't control the time you are tired and need to sleep. Your inability to wake is a double edged sword with both ends cutting deep through your guts...:

Every time something bad occurs, [fire,earthquake,flood,break in,police investigation after a marijuana party] you are at its mercy.

Every time something good happens(a TV show you want to watch at night, a trip you have to wake for, bf/gf wanting to "play", local community decides to go pillage something) you can't comply.

I wish I knew what I was best at.

Granted - you become the best seamster/stress ever - but you also become obsessed with sewing the most unusual materials you can find. You end up cutting off your own skin to sew a garment with, and accidentally kill yourself in the process.
