Well.
Hey. Without them, we wouldn't have Dante's Inferno, or Paradise Lost. So, they're good in my books.

Atheism.

A very fine religion, you get plenty of freedom in life. I am also an atheist.

Ah. So am I. One of those few religions not based on the writings of strange men hundreds of years ago (or drugged men in recent years), so i rather like the logic of it.

Atheist...

Well, I have to admit I admire the Atheist's ability to accept responsibility for his or her actions in everyday situations, without pinning it on this or that deity, so, cheers to that!

What's JoS? I will say this for Satanism, those who really go for the religion and continue it despite posers, bad media, and misinterpretations are really sound people- and generally more reliable than many of other religions.

Atheist, sorry for posting again so soon.

I've met plenty of Atheists that can debate the bible and its teachings better than most Christians that I know.

As for myself I am Pagan, a Hereditary Witch to be exact.

How do I know this? I used to be one. And, you'd think at first it'd make sense. The site looks official, it looks

http://www.therefinersfire.org/scotts_comment.htm
http://www.the600club.com/satanism.f...psed_5__1.html
http://www.urbandictionary.com/defin...m=Joy+of+Satan (Yes, it's urban dictionary, but it sums it up quite well.)
http://forum.rickross.com/viewtopic....90b123dabc19bc

If you want, I can go find more. But, really, I'm trying to do this for your benefit. Not to say Theistic Satanism has any merit, or that Joy of Satan is completely unfounded (Even the biggest lies must have some foundation in truth), but I've never really seen it add up, and it just seems more dangerous then anything to me.

Now, onto Paganism. I find it somewhat awesome that, despite many theologians arguing that there is only one God, Paganism can still argue there are many Gods/Spirits/Elements/Whatever, and what they can insist their abilities have some effect. (Not to argue whether they actually do, but the pure insistance is incredible, to me.)

And, I've already said I'm an Atheist.

wow, very interesting viewpoints, especially paganism, just wondering how can there be a logical and an orderly world as seen in science and several gods looking after their own purposes, it is a very hard religion to understand, as for the ID argument for the Christians, evolution (especially microevolution) is fact, however, we can not explain how matter came from nothing thus something at least equal to it must have been responsible, sorry for my ramblings, just very interesting

LaVeyan(?) Satanism makes the most sense IMO, I mean since it really isn't worshipping satan, it's replacing god with satan, and it's mainly worshipping yourself. I mean, it's like Atheism with a higher being, and since it is just that, what's the point? Just stick to Atheism at that point.

LaVeyan Satanism is just self-indulgence, no one can believe in atheism and still believe in Satan, since Satan is supernatural

I was once a Zen Buddhist. It's the greatest religion I've found, but as with all serious religions, I find it untrue.

It's survived for a long time, despite many attacks, and while I would hate for this to sound like I'm ignoring the actual religion, without it we'd be lacking alot of really beautiful Catholic cathedrals.

Egyptian Paganism.

Awh, Splintered, you beat me to it. My post was in response to Catholicism, in case there was any confusion.

I don't believe in Catholicism any more, but I really value some of the things it taught me as a child.

For as long as I can remember, I believed that if I did evil things, I would be banished to hell. The fear of going to hell definitely kept me out of trouble!

I'm still undecided about my religious beliefs, but I was born a Catholic so I'll pass that one onto you!

EDIT: My post was in response to Catholicism too -- d'oh!

Here.
I'll just even this out on track.
Alaizabel Cray - Egyptian Paganism - Hell, you have Ra, the sun God. It inspired Stargate for names. How cool is that? Eh? EH?

Inky - Catholicism - I still stand, that booze in church = Good Church.

Once again. Church of the Sub-Genius.

Religion is such a personal thing, I could never claim just one. I take my beliefs from my own life, and model my behaviour on people I know and admire.

A mix of religions? Well that definitely sounds like a sensible belief system - admittedly the closest to my own.

And now a religion I think deserves mentioning:
Islam (I'm not Muslim, but as I said, it should be mentioned - people have far too little good to say about it these days).

Allah is much more lenient than God.
Homosexuals in Muslim heaven get seven young men instead of the seven virgins, while on Abrahamic religions, homosexuals go to Hell.
Scientology.
