it's hard to say.

i'll put it like this:

as far as "family movies" go, i didn't like it nearly as much as secondhand lions, but enjoyed it more than oh, say..... stuart little.

was that any help?

I saw Corpse Bride the other day and I enjoyed it. I finally watch The Exorcist a couple of weeks ago. 2 hours of my life I'll never get back.

i sat through the brilliant and awe-inspiring film "planet 9 from outer space".

and by those words i really mean...my god...this shit was made by people?!

it is quite literally the worst movie ever made...plot, acting, and the main character died during filming and the credits include "mostly starring this guy"...it was actually voted on as the worst film ever.

harry potter and the goblet of fire.

definitely one you should see on the big screen. and if you're sitting in stadium seating, the higher up.... the better.

i didn't much care for the ending, but the film was visually stunning. there was one part that almost made my son cry and he wasn't too pleased about that.

but i must say that the personal highlight for me was at the end of the preview for m. night shyamalan's lady in the water, when my eleven year old daughter said in a rather loud voice, "God! i hope it's not as bad as the village!!"

Walk the Line.

I got all teary-eyed at the end. I'm man enough to admit it. And Johnny Cash fucking rules.

ohthefuckwell, you are absolutely right... it WAS like a bad knock-off of the Relic. I couldn't even watch it all the way through.

Last movie I saw was the Anchorman. I had to watch it for his little history lesson about San Diego, meaning "a whale's vagina," being discovered in 1904 by the Germans.

Right after "The Crow"

----

But seriously, I am in need of some serious movie-interpretation aid, here. I just watched Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me, and, if you've seen it, you know what that means... I've now gone completely insane, trying to figure out WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN?!?!?!?

The symbolism in this movie was amazing, the cinematic way in which Lynch combined imagery with symbols was smooth, like a full-bodied wine... and it got me completely wasted.

The Arm? The Man Without An Arm? What's going on?
Aside from having gone completely insane, I definitely recommend this movie to everyone and a half. It was really compelling, not a dull moment, but also not a moment of complete understanding... Except for a few plot details that were explained (otherwise I wouldn't have liked it).

But what's with the other dimension? Where *were* these people?

I just saw Land of the Dead last night, and what can I say? I absolutely loved it. Especially since John Leguizamo and Dennis Hopper were in it (They played Luigi and Presedent Koopa in the SMB movie. Yes, I know. I'm a geek).

...That, and pretty much all of my favourite characters survived. I don't know if this was intentional, but to me, I had a feeling of ... hm ... it seemed to me that the humans were more the villians than the zombies were.

I've been wanting to see The Hunger (David Bowie as a vampire, come on, who wouldn't?) but the the Hollywood Video where my family has an MVP pass doesn't have it. I forgive them though, because they have a very nice selection despite the titles they don't carry.

The last movie I watched was Party Monster...three times

@Rubedo: Actually it's Plan 9 from Outer Space, Ed Wood's B film masterpiece.

king kong.

did i enjoy this movie? oh, hell yes, i did.

there were some parts where the acting could have been better, but it definitely completed its mission: it was truly entertaining. to quote peter jackson, "it's pure escapism."

if you want to see this movie, or are even considering it, i strongly suggest you not wait until it hits your local rental place.

I loved that film! Such a nostalgia trip. I think the faun in particular was so well done - he was just adorable. And Aslan just rules.

I'm glad all the people who've seen Narnia are saying good things about it. If they had ruined that movie in the remake... I.... I just don't know what I would've done. Been very very sad. I loved the original, and I read all of the books. I can't wait to go home and see it!

Gosh. I need to see March of the Penguins. I feel like I've betrayed my favorite animal by not seeing it.

Last internet movie: Emo Rangers
Funny as all get out.

Last cinema movie: Rent
It was absolutely fabulous. Me and my best friend BAWLED. And laughed. And sang along. And then sang it all the way home.

I also recently saw "Just Friends" with the cute guy from "National Lampoons"-Hilarious! I was laughing non-stop! If you like this guy in his other funny movies, you will love this one! You have to see it! At one point my husband turned to me and asked if I was ok because I was laughing so much.
